I like Griffindork as a classic Harry Potter reference. I think Bats started that one.

Definitely enough mutants we've drafted to fill a wave, but they haven't been big priorities to design right now for the most part. We are trying to diversify, you know. :-) And Wave 1 and Wave 2 gave us a whole bunch of them.

Gambit has been in brainstorming since the beginning of the year, other than that, nothing has been done. Though that should give you guys an idea on how thorough and conscious we are.

We're going to try to do them all (mostly) anyway at some point, so grab what you can. I don't buy based on what we have in the works, I buy what I can when I can. I don't always get the one that's on the card because if I can get the same character for $.89 instead of $4, then I will unless I really like that character. I'm personally not that all into "having" to have what's on the card, I'd rather have more clix for my money for the most part. :D

Come on, I highly doubt those blind booster bricks only have 8 different types of figures. That would be marketing suicide. 8 figure sets only sell as non-blind starter sets.

WizKids revealed at Comic-Con that it will release an Iron Maiden HeroClix game in the first half of 2011. The stand-alone game will start with eight to ten figures, followed by another series to get up to twenty figures fairly quickly, according to WizKids CEO Lax Chandra. “The sculpts will be great,” Chandra said.

Packaging will be in a trading figure format (individual blind boxes), with the final display configuration yet to be determined.

Well, there are already tons of Star Wars minis. Those other genres don't really have any alternatives.

Actually another one I'd really like to see is military. A nice set would be a mix of all military, from the Civil War to Modern, including WWI and WWII, and from various countries and branches of the armed forces. It's surprisingly hard (impossible) to find prepainted 28-32mm military figures...

WarClix. I could see that being pretty cool. I'd love some great military units (could even, if successful, stretch back to pre-modern warfare as well). A great idea.

I'd also love to see TMNT added. They would be a fun addition.

The think I miss most is great sci-fi units. Not Star Wars or Trek, but a broader sense of sci-fi. I'd love to see SpaceClix or StarClix or something. Space Marines, Aliens, etc.

Depends on what they want to do. There are plenty of baddies available--from all the different iterations of the Turtles.

I'm not a huge TMNT guy, but my brother has everything TMNT ever printed (pretty much). There really is a lot. For good guys, you're more limited, though there are secondary figures available. For bad guys, there are mountains of them.

Part of the challenge though, I think, would be keeping things even across the TMNT's various incarnations. They'd almost have to consider doing them as groupings around different periods--and then that would allow for the turtles to be redone a few times as well, perhaps.

Anyhow, I really don't know. I don't follow it, but there certainly are an easy 7-8 good guys and than a fair number of bad guys, depending on where you look.

About 30 years ago, I used to buy and paint WWII and American Civil War figures that were 15mm size. Those were great and a perfect size for having massive battles on green felt covered tables with mountains and trees and such. I'd bet even those small sized figures could be converted to HS maps. We used to put several of the figures on a single base to represent a squad, company, battalion or whatever. I would think that useing a glyph sized base, it could be done for HS. I had some tanks and halftracks too and I bet they could fit on double bases.

The one thing I don't miss about those I guess is the painting of them, as a teenager I had more free time for such things.

Actually another one I'd really like to see is military. A nice set would be a mix of all military, from the Civil War to Modern, including WWI and WWII, and from various countries and branches of the armed forces. It's surprisingly hard (impossible) to find prepainted 28-32mm military figures...

Yeah, finding prepainted ones is the problem.:? I know there are prepainted Axis & Allies minis for at least WWII stuff, and they're 10m-15mm. I was considering using those on Heroscape maps and making some rules to allow multiple friendly figures to be on the same hex. Not sure how that would work out. But the figures aren't too cheap, so I may not do it.

That rabbit samurai from tmnt was awesome. I'd love a mini of him and casey jones.

Totally had that action figure.
TMNT and Masters of the Universe clix would be about the only two things with enough pull to get me involved with a side project right now.

I'm 100% behind TMNTClix. I'm not a huge fan, but, come on - the four turtles, April, Casey, Splinter... against Shredder and hordes of Foot Ninjas and Mousers! It'd be behind that for sure.

Besides that and Street Fighter (which we're actually getting somehow!), I'd really only like to see - maybe - some manga characters. If only to play out that Superman vs. Goku fight that's every fanboy's wet dream.

The rabbit samurai actually has his own series, and only guest starred with the turtles. His name is Usagi Yojimbo, and his book is worth reading.

Turtles Clix would be nice, and deinitely a franchise I´d be interested in, for Scape conversions, of course! :D

The next musical Clix project after Iron Maiden should definitely be classical composers! :p

The stores that still have stock will reduce to clear at Xmas, & then in about a years time we'll probably start seeing cheaper prices on ebay as people slowly just give up on it.

Of course, if I can't find it, I can always make a new mold. Or of other figures too, though not all. Some are prohibitively complicated to make molds of, meaning I'd have to cut up my original to make the mold which is something I'm not willing to do.

Molding is something I have always wanted to get into, especially with the limited supply of HS down here, but the cost of the stuff is also off putting especially when I am not 100% sure it's the right stuff because the local people don't stock any of the products you & others have recommended.

But let me know when & what you are casting as I am sure it would definitely be interested in acquiring nearly anything you produce. Is making a mold of the double peanut base feasible?

Actually, many of the fonts are all different. I know that Poison Ivy is almost a cartoony font, while many others are more of a "normal" font.

It depends on who makes the card. :p

Can you order from Smooth On (http://www.smoothon.com/)? I can't find products locally, either - I order from there. The entry cost isn't too high if you start with the smaller trial sizes. Once you learn and know if you like it, you can save by ordering in bulk.

It's Helvetica Neue Pro, and it isn't free. It's a full suite of fonts, and runs about $800.

Actually, I don't believe this is true, Lord Pyre. There is an official font that both A3n and GreyOwl use. I'm not sure what it is, but they will be able to tell you. I know it doesn't exist in GIMP, though.

Yes, actually, that's true. We didn't have the Helvetica Neue Pro font at that time, we only had Helvetica Neue LT. They're very similar, but not exactly the same. I could easily regenerate the World's Finest cards with the new font and template, but we decided not to mess with them so they wouldn't have to be proofed again.

That is correct. I will not ever share the C3G template, but I will gladly send anyone who wants it my own personal template. And admittedly it's very similar to the C3G as I we took elements from my template added to GO's previous template & jointly came up with a few more little twists to create the C3G template.

I figured I ought to post it somewhere before it was buried in the Chaos. Honestly the Marvel section seems like the calmest area of Heroscapers right about now.

Also to answer the questions about Swamp Thing. Originally tcglkn and I were going to write a section on the ally exclusives. As we talked about it and started piling more and more stuff on we just decided to do a section on the C3G, so we got IAmBatman involved to help organize the section for us. C3G has a LOT of threads. We decided to do the interview to simplify the section, which was already getting out of control, and I really had no idea what I was doing at that point. I really can't thank IAmBatman enough for helping me out there. At that point we just needed to pick which custom we wanted to feature, which was a joint decision between tcglkn and I. We knew we wanted to do an ally exclusive like in the original plan. At the time was either Swamp Thing or Kilowog. We went with Swamp Thing because it was a much more well known character, and was more eye catching, which was important if we wanted to draw people in. IAmBatman's interview was great, but we still want a good visual header to draw interest.

So basically the whole thing was tcglkn's idea, but IAmBatman put a lot of effort into making it happen. This was a lot of fun and I really can't thank you guys enough for doing this for us.

Not necessarily. Just so you know, and I know why you are asking, no one is really in favor of "rotating positions" in the group for MANY reasons. Now, the group is going to have MANY roles and lots with Sanctum access, with "each member lightly touching the card in a specific role" being the main concept.

We are not going to be cycling members into different roles. That idea sounds great for someone who has ambition to be at the "top", but it isn't something that has proven to work for any business, government, or project that I have seen. People will answer a questionnaire that will help to place them in the group and position that best suits them - like if you joined the military and took an aptitude test to find a good job/placement for you.

I play a lot on XBox, but not Live. I don't like paying monthly for that. Currently, I'm playing Red Dead Redemption (awesome game!), Call of Duty World at War, Modern Warfare 2, and Assassin's Creed (the 1st one, I never played them before). Plus Rock Band :)

I'd like to sign a petition to see GreyOwl singing his heart out playing Rock Band on YouTube. Something tells me you're awesome at that, too.

EDIT: On a related note, I also play XBox 360. I am eagerly awaiting Batman: Arkham Asylum 2.

I'm watching the Penguins now. I've got NHL Center Ice, so the wife and I watch a lot of hockey. Her favorite teams are the Capitals and Stars, and mine are the Blackhawks and the Penguins. Went to a Blackhawks game a couple weeks ago, good times. :D

My sister is practically begging my dad to get Center Ice. We only get to see games when we decide to go to the local sports bar. She is crazily obsessed with Sidney Crosbey. Its very funny. She even bought an Authentic Jersey, the kind with stitched on letters and what not.

Well, she does have good taste. Crosby is one of the best players in the league. I have one of his jerseys as well. Hopefully your dad will cave in and fork over the $140 or so for Center Ice.

I think he will. He grew up in PA near Pittsburgh and went to the games about once or twice a season growing up. We went to a game when we were visiting family last Christmas, I'm not a huge hockey fan but I had a blast. I think we are going to try to go to one this Thanksgiving while we are up there, I gotta get an extra day off of work though. :?

Oh and trust me, my sister lets me know at every chance that Sidney Crosby is the best in the league. :)

Edit: And vending machines too! They have everything you might want your Super Strong guys to throw around.

I have shared my customs over time here and there, but a couple of years ago, I decided that another private collection (I have one all printed out at home) is not what the site really needed, and I didn't want to have something to update all the time. So I focused more on NM24 getting attention and I was one of the first to start playtesting in there. Then me, Bats, and GO started talking about a guild and C3G was finally born.

I have my NM24 Superman and a War Machine floating around here somewhere. But if I did have a customs thread, it would be called the C3G books of index. ;)
