Hello Fellow 'Scapers,

Hasbro notified me that my castle shipment is on the way and I'll receive enough to fill all outstanding orders. The intermediary shipping company should deliver the product later this week. With luck, all domestic shipments will be shipped by Friday and all international shipments no later than Saturday.

Thanks to all of you who "hung in there" with me while we dealt with all these delays and annoyances.

Here's the situation with the castles based on the limited information I've received from Hasbro.

Q: Any additional castles available for sale?
A: Yes, I have enough to fill my current orders and take new orders.

Q: What about discounts and combo deals?
A: The castles will remain in VERY short supply well through Xmas. I have virtually no opportunity to order more. So the supply I have will have to last for some time. Unless this situation changes dramatically, the castles will be offered at the MSRP price (which is still a bargain based on Ebay prices.)

Q: What if HMG cancelled my previous order?
A: Because of the fiasco with the credit cards, I will honor the prices on the previous orders that I had to cancel because the credit cards could not be processed. So if you previously ordered 2 castles at the pre-order price of $25.95 each, I'll adjust your payment to reflect the reduced price. Or if you previously ordered a combo set and the combo is no longer available, order the individual pieces and I'll reduce your payment based on the quantities and prices in your original order.
Please note that the combo and pre-release prices are available for the same number of pieces that you ordered in your original order. You may order MORE than you ordered in your original order, but the pre-release discount is only available for the number you originally ordered.

Q: How do I make sure I get the pre-release prices on my current order?
A: Reference your previous order in the COMMENTS section of the order. I'll locate your earlier order and adjust all the items to the lower prices you paid in your pre-release order. It's OK if you don't have the earlier order number; I can find your order. (Note: If you cancelled the order rather than House Mouse cancelling the order, the pre-release prices are not available to you. The pre-release prices will be honored only if you received a cancellation notice from House Mouse.)

My patience would have held out forever if it weren't the fact that for a while there I couldn't go into a Wal-Mart or Target without tripping over Castles or Wave Five. That omni-present level of availability kinda gets ya in the ol' patience meter. Heck I went out and bought the Wave Five Uniques, even though they are coming from Sandra, simply because I was tired of seeing them on the shelf, mocking me, and wanted to give them a play. I plan to return the ones I get from HMG, unopened, to Target with my store receipt.

But it's all in the past now....I've gotta delivery coming from the Mouse! Woohoo!

Oh I got common sets because I only ordered one full set of Wave Five from HMG. I bought commons from all over the place to fill out my common needs.

I'm starting to get the urge to buy multiples of commons-seeing as i'm a UKscaper, only wave 1 is available over here and i wanted to wait for them to go down a bit before i do so! I've gotten one of each set of figures so far via shipping from the US but i don't want to pay the expensive costs of shipping just to get multiples of ones i already have! My only option is to wait until the waves are released over here! I'm hoping that next year we will have at least up to wave 3!

I did that with the Wave Five Uniques. I have the receipt saved in my wallet, all ready to return the unopened ones I get from Sandra back to the Target. I couldn't easily do it with the Tundra because I have so rarely seen it stores, and usually when I wasn't able to buy it for whatever reason....travel, etc. I did buy two castles from Wal-Mart, which have provided all kinds of gaming fun. The two more I get from HMG are really going to be put to good use.

I built the mother of all castles tonight....I was just sort of unpacking the stuff, not really planning anything, just looking at the parts and figuring out where I was going to store them, watching TV. Eventually I found myself building a huge 40-plus level high castle. It's fantastic...can't wait to get the group together and play a round on it. First I need to build a map around it though....lava moat? Snow fields with my new tundra? Hmm....endless possibilities.

Ladders are in woeful short supply....I wish there were a few more in the set. I need to fufill my new master plan of having an entire board of winding towers, ladders, criss crossed bridges, turrets, etc. Too bad my cash can't keep up with my plans. More castles will have to wait.

I know what you mean jcb! They give you enough so you can build 2 7 rung ladders and 2 6 rung ladders-meaning you have to put an extra hex underneath the two shortest ones!
