Finally got to play a game with some friends last night and what a blast. We played a 400 point team game.....and here is just a quick rundown of the action.

Armies: I had Braxas, Krav Maga, and one set of gorrilanators
My teammate had AE, SHotgun Sully, Macdirksx1 and Alastair

Oponnents. #1 had Jotun, Aubrien Archersx1, Deady Eye, and Theracus
#2 Marro Warriors, Duemeteffx2, Me Burq Sa, Na Gak Sa,
Minionsx1

Think thats correct.

In short My teammate got to drop his AE right off the bat, but didn't get iniatiative, so if I remember correctly he lost an AE before he had a chance to use their full furry. As his turn came around he was able to take down a couple of minions, but they advanced in him quickly.

Meanwhile I was moving my gorrilanators up to their position to support the AE, While #1 moved his aubriens in to take down the AE threat. The gorrilanators got their to late and it wasn't long before the AE where extinct. Tough break.

Soon after I lost all my gorrilnators to the Aubriens and to Dead eye. I will say this though...the tough ability (and with height advantage) really worked out and saved em for a bit...but the last one fell to a enhanced rifle special attack.

At this point our opponents still had quite a few units left...but we had managed to pick off a few guys here and there (marro warriors)

When the opportunity presented itself I moved in Braxas...and she did some pretty extensive damage. Taking down one minion, 4 marro warriors, and 3 aubriens.

Unfortunately to that much damage I had to move Braxas into enemy territory, and they engaged her with jotun. 8 life total, and now with 5 gone I (and being engaged to Jotun and a duemy) I risked 2 passing swipes and moved her back and on high ground out of harms way (temporarily). Thats when one of the best highlights came as she did an acid attack on Dead eye and I rolled a 17, taking out #1s last ranged unit. However shortly after braxas was taking down...leaving me with just my krav maga.

My teammate was moving his mcdirks around the right side of the gameboard to flank our opponents, and was engaged by theracus. Theracus took down a Mcdirk didnt last long after that.

#2 still had plenty of guys left so I started moving in my krav maga to get height and pick his guys off from a distance. To my surprise he moved in and engaged one of my agents with ne gak sa. Fortunately he never mind shakled, but even with height I could not take down his ne gak sa, until I got lucky with 4 skulls and he rolled all blanks. Too little to late and my agent eventually fell.Sensing I was in trouble, and with Jotun looming on the horizon I started to back peddle, but not fast enough as he moved in Me burq sa to engage one of my other agents. My agents took Me burq sa down to 1 life but couldn't finish him off.

I lost my agents and it was my oppenent left with Alastair, 2 mcdirks against Jotun and the almost a full army for #2. My teammate eventually engaged Jotun with alastait, and even doing an overextended attack got no love from the dice. And with 3 wound markers on alaistair...the final mcdirk warrior capitalized on the damage done to Ne gak sa and took him down....There was just to much strength on the board to overcome.

So in short...it was a good game....me and my teammate got our buts kicked....but it was a good time had by all.

Thats all for now....will post more (if anyone cares) maybe saturday...cheers!

Allrighty...time for another battle report...I'll keep it short.

The map; a slightly modified version out of the RTTFF booklet.

The armies; Myself: snipersx1
sentinelsx1
realin
sgt drake

opponent (mike) aubrien archersx1
monks x2
Dead eye
syvarris
theracus

Long story short. Mike moved theracus (with syvarris) onto the bridge.
By the end of the first round realin was toast.

I Pushed my snipers forward and towards the bridge to take out syvarris but mike kept dropping back and shooting, taking my snipers.

eventually he dropped syvarris off back near his starting zone and I moved my sentinals up on the bridge, and took out theracus and syvarris a few turns later.

My sentinels, not far enough away from dead eye, were quickly eliminated.

I tried to salvage a victory with drake but it was to late....alas...another victory ripped from my hands....haha...

Awesome battle reoprts wilkerson, I love battle report and they are my favorite part of these websites. I can't believe that you lost on your first game, considering I thought you and your guys had it in the bag when I saw the teams. O well thats the greatness of heroscape.

...O ya and another thing wilk, keep 'em comin :)

In your first battle you clearly underestimated your opponents figs. They had really blanced armies, while you and your opponent could of done better to balance your army. Tough luck though, oh well  :(

Glad to see some people interested.

I agree bobo that not all my my armies...probably most are not always as balanced as they could be...I just like to try different things.

Boom....I hope its sooner then later...I'm also looking forward to the time when we can throw down on the hexes....now on to saturday night.

500 point armies ...team play.

Myself; 2x roman legionaires, 2x Roman archers, Marcus, Guilty, and the Tagawa

My partner; 2x minions, Tealord, Me Burq Sa, and Marro Warriors.

Opponent #1; Jotun, Saylind, Syvarris, Dead Eye, and Theracus.

Opponene #2; Mcdirks bonded w/ Sir Denrick, Shotgun Sully, Sentinels, and the AE.

The board...Three and a half master sets, some lava, and 5 Rttff. Mosly flat board with some elevation, A 2 hex wide creek dividing the 2 opposing sides, with a 2 hex wide bridge (4 bridges put together) spanning the gap, with 2 smaller bridges on either side.

Initiative went to our opponents, and the first thing #1 did was used theracus to fly Dead eye up to a very advantages position, while #2 started bringing his sentinels around the right side up the small bridge.

My partner moved his minions towards their direction, and I moved my roman archers up towards the start of the bridge on our side.

With the first couple of rounds spent moving into position, and #1 using saylind to summon syvarris on the bridge, it wasn't long until Jotun was right up there with him.

The AE had dropped by this point and fortunately for me (#2 targed my archers and legionaires, and guilty) and I had most my guys left to take out the AE.

Soon #2 had brought his sentinels across the bridge to take out Tealord, and I moved my romans (with marcus) for support. Aye huge mellee insued, and tealord, followed by marcus, were destroyed. My romans took out the remaining sentinels. This left #2 with mcdirks, denrick, and shotgun.

My partner pushed his minions up the bridge to take on syvarris and Jotun. It took a bit but finally Syvarris was done, and my partners minions where the only ones that could really stand up to Jotun.

Denrick and the mrcdirks were taking the same path as the sentinels, and where soon engaged with some romans, so I sent my tagawa over to support them.

This allowed Theracus to move in dead eye to the bridge where he started picking people off, and soon all my tagawa where gone, but not before they took down Denrick.

The mcdirks were soon destroyed, as my partner concentrated his marros on the mcdirks.

Near the end shotgun was eliminated,

And the last of my romans moved up the bridge to engage theracus and dead eye. #1 used theracus to block the way for the romans. Slicing their way through him they engaged Dead eye (who wasn't moving to use his specials) and the rest...as they say...is history.

Probably one of the best team games I've played...and a huge thanks to my partner and oppnents for playing. Till next saturday.....

Think I got this pic thing down...kinda.

Alrighty...me vs my friend Justin, 400 point armies.

My army:
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Myarmy.jpg

MQ9, MX17 and the Krav Maga

Justin's army:

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/JustinsArmy.jpg

Mcdirk warriors x1, McDirk, the AE, and shotgun.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/TheAEdrop.jpg

Justin drops his AE on the in the early goings and tries to take out the MX17, but the KM fire back.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/AEmoveinclosetotheKM.jpg

He moves his AE in to engage the KM and negate their stealth dodge, but the KM slip away; which leaves it open for...

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/MX17movesintoengagetheAE.jpg

The Major X17 to engage and snuff the AE. But the fight is far from over.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/MX17vs.jpg

The major X17 moves onto the bridge over the lava, shotgun is next on his list.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/McDirkvstheKM.jpg

in the meantime...that sneaky mcdirk and friends are closing in on the advantageous position held by the KM...and with his overextended attack, it doesn't take him long to try to finish off what the AE started.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/MX17vsShotgun.jpg

meanwhile....MX17 pops sully's head like a grape with his cyberclaw...

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/McdirkfinishesofftheKM.jpg

..and mcdirk finishes off the KM...

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/McdirktakesontheMajor.jpg

and then moves onto the major. With height I actually thought this match up would work to my advantage (8 defense die) but he tore through the major.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/highlanderstakeonMQ9.jpg

and the rest of the clan move around the backside to take on MQ9...who up to this point had eliminated Mcdirk....everything seemed to be going well when....

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Victory.jpg

the 2 little bastards took down my big mean robot!

I lost...Justin won his first game...he played well....and it was much fun. Hope this is some improvement over the previos reports. I know the picture quality is kinda crappy...sorry....

Cheers.

This is a report from a game I had saturday night. 3 players, 500 point armies. Due to the number of photos and time constraints I am going to break this battle report up into segments.

Sensing Grimak was ready for lunch Mike sends the bane of squads towards the sentinels.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakgetsintolunchrange.jpg

My Gorrilinators finally make it to the top of the hill...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Gorillinatorsmakeittothetop.jpg

If anyone has questions, comments, or input of any kind feel free to post. Untill I get round 2 up I thought this could maybe be an interactive report....wanna guess the winner?? strategy suggestions?? go for it.

Round 2

Concan moves towards my army..
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Concantakestotheroad.jpg

While on the other side of the map...the obsidian gaurds move further inland.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Obsidianscontinuesforwards.jpg

A gorrinator takes the hieght advantage and fires off a shot at Concan but misses.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/agorrilinatortakestheheightadvantag.jpg

Sensing his leader in trouble...a sentinel flys in to take care of the pesky monkey...but the gorillinator, with his extra tougness, is able to hold his position.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Asentinelcomestohisleadersaid.jpg

Me Burq Sa rides up the canyon....
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/MeBurqSaridesupthecanyon.jpg

spots a gorillinator up high...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/andspyingagorrilinator.jpg

and gives him the evil eye (paralyzing stare). Without any defense the gorillinator is history.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Hegiveshimtheevileyeandtakeshimout.jpg

James Murphy moves out of my starting zone.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/JamesMurphyheadsout.jpg

Seeing his teammate (the gorrilinator) in trouble he fires off a shotgun blast and takes down a sentinel.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Ashotgunblasttakesdownasentinel.jpg

Grimnak lurks in the back...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakstickstotheroad.jpg

Sudema, scared without james murphy by her side, moves out...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Sudemamovesout.jpg

and turns a sentinel into stone.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Sentinelturnedtostone.jpg

and that brings round 2 to a conclusion.

Round 3

Concan moves to take on the might Grimnak but does little to no damage.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/ConcantakesonGrimak.jpg

Grimnak returns the favor and chomps Concan.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/andgetschompedforhistrouble.jpg

Two of my gorrilinators decide to move and target Me Burq Sa...the first shot does 1 wound....
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Workingasaunit.jpg

but the 2nd shot inflicts 2 more.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/TwoGorillinatorstakedownMeBurqSa.jpg

Another wave of sentinels moves out of Justin's starting zone.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Anotherwaveofsentinelsmoveout.jpg

and they finally get my gorillinator.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/andmygorillinatorgoesdown.jpg

Grimnak...making the sentinels nervous...pulls back towards home, still digesting Concan.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakheadshome.jpg

James Murphy scuries across the lava field to safety (and a height advantage)....
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/JamesMurphymovesacrossthelavafield.jpg

and turns another sentinel into feathers.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/andblastsanothersentinel.jpg

obsidian gaurds change direction.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakmoves.jpg

Realin moves out, a gorillinator tries to do some damage but dosn't succeed.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/AgorillinatorfiresatRealinandmisses.jpg

I believe that was the end of round 3....sometimes its hard to keep track after the booze start working.

thanks hex...im working on making these read more like a comic then an instruction manual....taking longer than I thought....but on the the next round!

The sentinels, without there leader, move out, taking the fight to the enemy.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/SentinelswithoutCocan.jpg

Justin and Mike make a temporary alliance, and the gaurds move past the sentinels towards my direction.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/TheGaurdsarestillonthemove.jpg

Realin moves up and takes cover behind a tree.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Realintakescover.jpg

Grimnak, still moving to the right side of the board...lurking in the ruins.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakintheruins.jpg

Here comes the Calvary! my Krav Maga move to join the fray.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/KravMagajointhebattle.jpg

and the sentinels line up to make their last stand.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Sentinelslineupforonelaststand.jpg

Grimnak is now hungry for monkey meat....
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakisnowinthemoodformonkeymeat.jpg

and the gorillinators just can't seem to do any damage to realin.

and succeeds.

With Justin getting initiative I ended up going last this round, wich left my gorillinator open to a chomp from Grimnak.

James Murphy moves up and takes a shot at Realin and misses.

Murphy tries his best to whip realin...but doesn't happen...he just can't seem to get a handle on her to destroy her.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/GaurdsvsKravMaga.jpg

Realin finishes off murphy and moves on to seduma....things aint looking good for yours truly.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/RealinvsSudema.jpg

and the gaurds engage my last Krav Maga agent and seduma...who is now caught between a rock and a hard spot....no pun intended.

June 6th, 2006, 04:00 PM
with some downtime at work...I will post the next set of events.

At this point I think Justin was getting a little nervous of the power mike still had on the board. My army was pretty much widdled away to almost nothing, so with that being said...Justin threw caution to the wind and brought the fight to Mike's starting zone. Mike brought in Grimnak to support his minions.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/SentinelsvsMinions.jpg

while my Sudema was still fighting for her life, but with no progress.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Threewaydance.jpg

and the sentinels score some fatal wounds on a few minions!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Sentinelstakethefighttominions.jpg

but grimnak is hungry...grimnak must feed...the result is one less sentinel
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakfeedsagain.jpg

One of my gorillinators trying to support Sudema, fires across the lava field and scores a hit on the obsidian gaurd...taking him down.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Gorillinatoronthemove.jpg

Sensing my gorillinators vulnerability...Justin swoops in with a sentinel and smashes him on the head with those massive hammers.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/attackonasentinel.jpg

and one of Mike's gaurds comes in throwing lava at the sentinel. Wings are very flamable....no more sentinel.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Gaurdcleansup.jpg

Not wanting to miss an opportunity...my gorillinator takes the height advantage and fires at the last of the obsidian gaurds....and nails him!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Gorillinatortakesoutagaurd.jpg

Wilkerson74
June 6th, 2006, 04:37 PM
Realin, facing off against the last of the enemy....surveys the odds...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Realinfacestheodds.jpg

Mike makes sure the odds are in his favor...and moves Grimnak close to his minions.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakmakesherthinktwice.jpg

meanwhile...the last of my army, the gorillinators, try to figure out a plan of attack to secure a victory for vydar.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/extinctspecies.jpg

and Justin moves his last sentinel to shield realin, and now he gets the added bonus of realin's defense aura....
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Justinslasttwo.jpg

but that helps little against a chomp!

while a gorillinator takes the road less traveled...the right road...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/theroadtotheright.jpg

Justin moves realin back...I think he may have thought that Mike would use Grimnak to pursue my last two gorillinators...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Realinturnsaround.jpg

but hes wrong...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Grimnakclosesin.jpg

and my gorillinator continues to stick to the road...hoping to move in fast..
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/tryingtosurvive.jpg

Mike brings in the minions...and this is pretty much where Realin got hacked to pieces...and Justin was finally out of the game...no victory for jandar on this day..
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Realinsnightmare.jpg

soon after this gorillinator was chomped..
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Thelastimage.jpg

and that left it to mikes last few minions, grimnack...and my one gorillinator. I tried to run and shoot a few times....last move of the game mike was in prime position with grimnak, and it came down to initiative....if I won...I could move and fire...or just move to get height. If mike won...it was move with gimnak and chomp. We both rolled...and mike won the initiative....Utgar ruled the battlefield!

All that being said...it was a fun game. I am interested in knowing if these types of battle reports work for you guys, so please leave any feedback you like. Cheers!

I say these types of reports TOTALLY work for us guys. The story-telling style was great. I know its a pain on your part, but reading a battle report this way, like a comic, is a blast.

Sounded like a good game and your monkey boys gave a decent showing of themselves.

thanks mr boom.

The gorillinators aint really that bad....I wish they were a little stronger in the attack or defense department, but just as they are written they proved to be a pain in the ass for both of my opponents. Long live the gorillinators!

i loved the pics and report alot! just 1 thing i wanted to correct, unless you're playing by house rules:

i don't think grimnak can stand over the water like that.http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/SentinelsvsMinions.jpg

thanks for your input venom...glad you enjoyed the report. As far as Grimnak on the water, your right that he would not be able to stand on the water like that. He is actually standing on a sand hex. All the starting zones had one sand hex that connected the starting zones to the road tiles.

which fig. would you say was the best over all, in that game Wilkerson74?

Wilkerson74
June 8th, 2006, 12:48 PM
best overall??....hard to say.... I enjoy all the figures, but I think its how they are used, and how effective a player can be with them, that makes them dangerous. That being said, I think the player/figure that did the most damage, the figure that was played real well in this one, was Mike with Grimnak.

He kept him back and used the road tiles to his advantage, but never brought him my way (all my guys were range guys) unless he knew he could make a kill. Keeping Grimnak alive throughout the game, and not getting him in harms way to take even one wound, and to destroy all the figures he did....he gets my vote.

Venom

yeah that's what i meant. GJ Mike. Grimnak is just awesome in my book. now who would you say was the worst fig. on that battle?

Wilk, I love this map set up!
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Map.jpg

How'd you like playing on it? Anything you would change (I think I might make access from starting zones across river a little more wide)? Do you have this store in Landscape by chance? How many MS, VW did it take?

Wilkerson74
June 9th, 2006, 04:38 PM
Mr. Venom...I would probably replace the word worst with less productive?? In that case I would choose a few...haha....

From mikes army, Me Burq sa got taking out kinda early...so he gets my vote there...

From justins army I would say realin, just cuz I think she could have been used to reinforce the sentinels more (6 defense with shield of valor?? sentinels are hard enough to kill as it is.)

and from my army, i have a few....the krav maga were targeted and taking out as soon as they left their starting zones...not what I had in mind. James murphy is cool, but I could never roll the 12 or higher needed to "whip" somebody. And sudema, who I have had great rolls with before....couldn't sone anyone when it really counted. hope that answer ur question.

Hex...the map is actually a modified version of the soul razor canyon map that I got from hextr1p, that he got from gencon or someplace. You may want to contact him to see if he could send you the original.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Map.jpg

The one major change I made to the soul razor map was to replace the very first level's water and land tiles with molten lava and lava field tiles. That took about three and half to four volcarean wastelands. Then I built everything else up as the book instructed with the appropriate tiles, and that is everyting inside the road tiles.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Map2.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/MAP3.jpg

After completion of the original map with the lava tiles on bottom I thought it was kinda small to have a good 4 player game, so I put the road tiles around it and then the water tiles, and then built in the sand starting zones. 1 sand hex in each starting zone connects directly to the road tiles to give some sort of way in.

The final two steps was to put 3 stacked road tiles in the "corners" of the map (speed bumps) and then line the sides of the starting zones with trees to keep neighboring armies from killing each other from their own starting zones. The idea with the trees and the speed bumbs was to force players to go into the middle of the map more.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Thelastimage.jpg

I enjoyed the map and still have it up...hoping I can get a few more games on it. unfortunately I do not have it stored in any sort of computer progam, but if you can get the soul razor canyon map, that would give you a good starting point.

hope that helps.
cheers.

Round 1, Mike wins initiative...and via Theracus, moves Dead Eye to an advantageous position.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape008.jpg

Being at the other end of the bridge I had a similar thought, and started to move DW9K up to a place overlooking the bridge...but with his move of 5 it takes a smidge longer to get to the top.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape010.jpg

Mike capatilizes on the 7 move of Theracus, and flies him over to take a glyph...and discovers its a Range +4...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape009.jpg

And my gaurds stay close to DW9k
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape011.jpg

and here comes Syvarris sneaking around...

Round 2...

Syvarris moves up closer to the bridge.....
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape014.jpg

I move 2 marros up onto the bridge....hoping to take a worthwhile glyph...but it was the glyph of revive....pretty useless at that stage of the game.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape015.jpg

and since mike had dead eye and syvarris...he wasn't about to let up that +4 range glyph.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape016.jpg

so I started moving my doomy to that side of the board...tryng to stay out of the rather long range of dead eye and syvarris.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape017.jpg

Syvarris makes one last climb and lets loose some arrows...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape018.jpg

and two of my marros go down.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape019.jpg

and my gaurds advance up the road to the bridge.

INTERMISSION!!

Hex...the map is actually a modified version of the soul razor canyon map that I got from hextr1p, that he got from gencon or someplace. You may want to contact him to see if he could send you the original.
Yeah, Soul Razor is a great map even by itself. However, with so many new terrain expansions now available, some of the first edition maps are rather bland. What's nice about Soul Razor is the map's composition: nice and tight, yet areas available for height and cover. Remixing the map is fun, in that even if you branch out, the map is still compact enough for quick battles. And so long as you maintain the original vision of the map, you can make gameplay that much better by adding (in moderation) other terrain such as trees, snow, road, or even lava.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled battle report...

Wilkerson74
June 13th, 2006, 07:51 PM
Round 3....

Not wanting to put all of my eggs in one basket...I had a couple of my marros moving away from the bridge around to the right side of the board...hoping to take some height and a glyph or two. I tried to clone...but failed.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape021.jpg

and realin flies up to boost the defense of dead eye and syvarris.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape022.jpg

And my doomy keeps moving around the left side of the board...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape023.jpg

Mike's Knights, with denrick....move out...
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/Wilkerson74/Game%202/heroscape024.jpg

and to answer ur question ...yeah my friend mike is a pretty solid player...that and he seems to have a golden rabbit's foot up his arse cuz he does roll pretty well...but for the most part victories go back and forth...just depends on the day....

and in an unrelated game...i played my friend john last night, but I don't have pics....400 point armies...

I had dund, braxas, and 1 set of gladiotrons, against his itzumi samuri, krav, drake, and syvarris.

I won't go into play by play, but the game breaker was when I acid breathed syvarris (rolled a 20) and drake (rolled a 19) and took out his two heros. With no turn markers on the krav...I took my next turn and took out his last two agents...I laughed my ass off and he burned holes through me with his eyes. Good times.

With no turn markers on the krav...I took my next turn and took out his last two agents...I laughed my ass off and he burned holes through me with his eyes. Good times.
Dang Braxas!

I have her. I just don't like her. She spit her halatosis breath all over my armies 3 times! One game I never rolled defense once!!!

Okay now I get it, I haven't been able to play a game with my new sets yet, and my HS buddy doesn't come back from France for another week. :(
