MOving down onto water

Can a large based figure move down into water, since movement stops when a figure hits water. part of him would be in water and the other would be on land.

also, Is water considered the same elevation as a single tile?

1. The large figure would only stop moving if his ENTIRE base was on water tiles. So yes, he can, if he has enough movement to climb out onto the other side as well as moving across the water tile.
