Let the red hot magma flow through the castle walls....

This is basically the "best castle ever" map with a few changes. We wanted a big battle, so we chose 1000 pt armies. My wife chose to pick an "Mostly Evil" army.

The battle was pretty even for most the game. I still had the airbore awaiting to drop (real bad rolls for a long time on them) The 1st casualty of the game was my Wife's Dumetef Guard. Good 'ol Deadeye Dan took him out from the window. My wife then brought up DW900 and the Zettian guards, and managed to take out one of my Aubrien Archers. Just after that, Syvarris killed DW9000 with a perfect attack. Not soon after did Syvarris destroy Taelord before he could do anything... there goes 180 points right down the drain... :P

I then brought out Mimring and he managed a few kills himself, but didn't last as long as he should have out there...

After Getting her Nikita Agents and Gorillanators close enough to the castle, one of my Sentinels was picked off. That's when 3 of my 4 Marro Warriors walked out of the castle to meet them. I managed to kill off a Nikita agent and a Gorillanator before she took out the 3 Marros. After the next 3 rounds, they had been re-cloned inside the castle... Just then, the Minions of Utgar flew into the castle from nowhere! I lost my other 2 sentinels and then she brought her minions down and destroyed my Marros at the castle door. Now you may be asking where my Airborne are... Well apparwntly they didn't want to jump out of their plane, and I didn't think they ever were. I was getting worried with the breach of the castle, the very next round, my Airborne FINALLY came in, and the wiped out the Minions. I had then taken what was left of my ranged figs, and picked off her ranged figs, and then she surrendured. It was close until the Airborne came in an saved the day!

Nice map. A lava castle is on my to do list once I get the castle set. And the Airborne can be quite helpful if you roll it. They're always in my draft anyways.

And my friend has a red D20. Mine black though.

Verunis looks cool! The castle with the lava flowing through is great! And congrats on the red D20-what an odd thing to happen!

Unfortunately Verunis didn't see much action. He did step in when the Minions invaded the lower level of the castle, but his attacks didn't hit. When the Airborne killed the Minions, Verunis went outside to attack the gorillanators and nakita agents that were near the water. He ended up losing 4 health and did not make any succesful hits. He retreated back into the castle after that. Not soon after did my wife surrender.
