SNEAK ATTACK (Temporary)
You may immediately take a turn with any one Unique Hero you control with no revealed or unrevealed Order Markers on its Army Card.
CEREBRO (Equipment). (keep, but different mechanics?)
A Telepath equipped with Cerebro may add 2 to the range and 20-sided die rolls when using their special powers.
LEADERSHIP (Permanent)
After revealing an Order Marker on a Unique Hero card you control and taking a turn with that Unique Hero, you may move each figure you control up to 2 spaces.
ADRENALINE RUSH (Permanent)
Human Common Squad figures add 1 to their attack.
DOUBLE AGENT (Temporary)
When a Unique Hero lands on this glyph, roll the 20-sided die. On a roll of 1-10, nothing happens. On a roll of 11-18, choose an opponent to take control of the Unique Hero for the remainder of the round. On a roll of 19-20, choose an opponent to take control of the Unique Hero for the remainder of the game.
MUTANT CURE SHOT (Equipment)
If mutant you control lands on this glyph or enters a space adjacent to an opponent’s figure equipped with this glyph, roll the 20-sided die. On a roll of 1-12, nothing happens. On a roll of 13-20, the mutant you control may not use its special powers for the remainder of the game. Scientists are not affected by the Mutant Cure Shot glyph.
DESTINY (Permanent)
D20 +1
ADAMANTIUM WEAPONS STASH (Equipment)
A figure equipped with this glyph may add 1 additional die to its normal attack when attacking an adjacent figure. When attacking a Destructible Object, add 2 automatic skulls to whatever is rolled.

Could we consider doing some Forge items as glyphs in this set?

I've had a bit of email exchange with Hahma over Glyphs, so I know he does have some pretty cool ideas to post.
I think the one issue with doing Forge items as Glyphs is ... what does that leave for Forge to have as powers when his custom comes out? I loved the idea of his Nullification Gun being a Glyph to start out with, but then I stopped and thought - well, then, what would make Forge himself special?

Well that would certainly be interesting and innovative ... I'd say it'd be better to wait until we get to an actual Forge card to tackle such a thing, though. :-P

My fellow theme nerd, I am not sure if you are joking or not, but I would love to see some glyphs come with Forge, and allow him to manipulate the glyph rule mechanics in some creative ways.

I'd rather wait for the D&D Master Set to see how the official equipment glyphs (treasure glyphs?) are handled. Then maybe we can adapt that for Forge.

Yeah, there are a lot of things I really want to see about the DnD Master set to help guide us here.
Equipment glyphs and common heroes are the main two.

Updated the first post to include these write-ups, Hahma. I reworded a couple of things for clarity. I think overall these are looking really good, though, and can't wait to see what other people think.

Boosting the range of Special Powers is a dangerous path that I don't think is necessary. Even if you guys disagree with me on this, you have to at least specify the minimum requirement of the ranged power (similar to the official ranged glyph), or else, Psyloc's Telepathic Knife (melee) is going to end up being a throwing dagger... and that just doesn't work for me.

Yeah, we need to figure out how Cerebro should work ... but it's definitely something we want to use for Telepath enhancement. Maybe just a D20 boost to Telepaths is enough?

So, even though this project is tabled, it is important to know that if any of us wants a C3G glyph when we get to Ala Cart, and that glyph is already mentioned here, we should all feel free to take any ideas from this thread that we can. You know, recycle and all that. ;)

Just a question - What would we need to do to get these out with the X-men figures?
I mean these look pretty solid (exception below) so if they can be worked on without holding up the figures then why don't we include them also?
Exception: Cerebro alters Special Powers but that is strictly against the rules is it not?

Well we just agreed that we would focus on finishing the figure units with this "set" then we would switch our process over to the new Ala Cart program. This way it is not mandatory to play test all of these glyphs now, and we can focus on what most of us want, more figures.
Now, once we get to Ala Cart, you or any one of us can pick any 1 item to work on, like a glyph, figure, optional rule, destructible object, scenario, etc, and once that is finished being approved, you can choose your next item to work on. This will tremendously help us stay on task for the things we really want, as oppose to doing the things we feel we have to.
Still, If you are interested in these glyphs, you should choose one when we get to Ala Cart, they would be really quick play tests, and I plan on play testing anything that comes down the tube, even.. dare I say... Team Cards if that happens.:shock:

I understand the focus is on figures & I'm definitely not suggesting that we stop pushing the figures through. I was just thinking that since they are already scripted, that there wouldn't be much to do for them so we could just release them with the figures. What sort of playtesting would be involved in glyphs?

Ha Ha. Honestly though, if you or any one of my C3G brothers takes the time to create and design something here in the Cart, you are really at the mercy of us that can playtest, and I would want to do my part to contribute, but also support the ideas and process of this group as a whole. So yeah, I would play it and make sure that I do so without an agenda. Glad to make you happy.:D
