The Onacara clan is back home form another fun day of Scaping with the folks from the North East.

Special thanks again to ....

War Gamers Headquarters
House Mouse Games
Chaos Media Games
Wizards of the Coast
Grunge, truth, Rychean and Guru

I hope everyone had as much fun today as we did and thank you all for helping build maps, take apart maps, carrying stuff and just making it another successful day.

I think Scaperdy went over pretty well...it was alot of laughs and I think a nice little "break" from the games.

Congrats to arp12 (who destroyed loborocket and Darkmage7a) and won himself a Summoner Wars starter for doing so.

Congrats also to our top 3 finishers for the day...

Kildawabit 8-0

33 Jason Homiate 0-3 .000
34 Mombo101 0-6

I could have sworn we had 35 people...a few of the score sheets were confusing because on some people used real names and others they used screennames.

I got to play 8 games today...4 with my A army and 4 with my B army (no swapping for me :-( )

A Army (2-2)
10th Foot x4
MDG
Guilty
Isamu

B Army (3-2)
4th Mass x3
Sentinnel X2
Isamu

I'll post more about my games tomorrow but will have to say that my last game against Spoon was my favorite because we were both hysterically giggling most of the game...so much so we didnt even realize how good of a game it really was until it ended....and that just made us laugh more.

Oh one more thing for now.....Whoever played on Maps A & B today can you please give me some feedback on those maps (well actually you can give feedback on all of them)

nyys...Lykton Dune sucks....

On another note.... We had 5...yes count 'em 5 lovely ladies playing Heroscape today at Scape-A-Palooza which goes to shos that...CHICKS DIG NESA!!!

I Like Pi even beat Darkmage7a using only a 290 point army.

My post from the other thread:

...

=> Hey all, I'm too lazy to type out a message to everyone like Shades did so here's general stuff. Great to see everyone again; it's been so long since BatB. I love this format, letting you play whoever you want but keeping track of win/loss throughout the day. I know some people got in 7 or 8 games so it's great that that's possible. Scaperdy was fun, and I'm actually surprised I knew so much of that stuff(hmm... just realised no one got the 2 related to Grungebob...). Looking forward to the video (Cleon, didn't you take one?) and playing Summoner Wars when it comes out. Thanks for organizing it, and hope to see y'all in Westford in 2 months!

This event was alot of fun, i sadly missed most of the game show, as i playing with Mombo at the time. I did notice theat Darkmage7a failed miserably, but now we get to burn Mombo , so it all works out in the end.

8-0 holy cow, i'm amazed and here's my armies:

Army A

Axegrinders of the Burning Forge x4
Migol Ironhill
Brave Arrow

Army B

Kato Katsuro
Ashigaru Yarix3
Ashigaru Harquebusx2

I got to switch armies once, with Bob(aka Cleon's Dad). So he used my Dwarves while i used his:

4th Mass x4
Thorngrim the Viking Champion
Concan the Kyrie Warrior

The dwarves went 5-0(in my hands anyway), and Frank led the peasants to victory twice.

Well, as it was my first tournament/gameday (or, at least, playing with somebody other than my brother and my friends), I believe some random thoughts and reactions are in order.

The format was pretty cool. The rumble thing was awesome, as was the two armies idea (very glad we spoke up about that. 4 armies would have been rough to make for me). I just wish i could have used other peoples' armies a bit more often. It was probably the most fun I had had all day using an army composed of units I had never played before and having to improvise a strategy on the spot (with a little help, thanks Spoon!).

I now hate the Sentinels of Jandar. Until next time Onacara....until next time. Reflecting on it today, I did make a few tactical errors, but nothing that would have caused me to win the game. It just would have made it closer, delayed my death a little while longer.

Rolling consistently is something I apparently am incapable of. Two or three games I absolutely could not be stopped, other games I couldn't roll a dice to save my life, from killing several of my own stingers to just not being able to roll a defense die (Nyys and a couple others witnessed this).

Nobody ever looks in real life as you picture them. I think the avatars have something to do with it.

"Scaperdy" was pretty good. Arp shocked everybody and Darkmage obviously fails (although he gave me one of his skulls, which is awesome because I really liked his custom, so he only fails sometimes).

The army I thought was good actually wasn't and the army I thought was terrible actually did really well  Look down below for my armies. You can probably guess which was which.

I need more pieces. My lack of commons of any kind is becoming a nuisance.

Ill add more as I think of them.

Anyways, the armies I ran:

A-

Stingers X2
Syvaris
Finn
Raelin RotV
Izumi

B-

Nilfheim
Q10
Krav

I am fairly certain that my first army outperformed my second. I went 3-5 altogether. Not too great, but I got to play a bunch of cool people and I learned all kinds of new strategies and tricks that will be helpful next time I play.

Anyways, a huge thanks to Onacara for organizing this and such, it was an awesome event!

My dad took some pics (mainly of Scaperdy) so here they are:

General shot of the room, lots of games going on.

More games. I'm the one on the left.

The prize table. There was lots of stuff this year, and the raffle was a good way to distribute them.

Beginning of Scaperdy... you can see the excitement in the spectators' faces.

The contestants: Darkmage7a, me, and loborocket. I think that's theGuru in the back, and lobo's son Jimmy is on the left side.

2/3 of the way through the game show... ollie adds more points to my score. You can also see the darkmage had -1100 points at this time.

The all-powerful Onacara mercilessly interrogates his prisoners.

Contsetants again... deep in thought.

Final picture of the crowd. I'm going to attempt to name them... first row: Tiffany, nyphot's wife, nyphot, player #1 (don't know his name, just that he kept winning raffle stuff). Second row: (don't know her name), Alysha, one of the UConn guys (name?), SuperEsenwein, I Like Pi. Back row: Shades fan, Cleon, (who are the other 2 guys?).

Hope you enjoy the pictures! :)

A Army (2-2)

A army: (2-2) = 4 games.

What part of the math is wrong?

Otherwise, sounds like you all had a good time!

I honestly love the format, and I think the fact that you weren't forced to play a game if you didn't want to is an awesome idea. It's especially awesome if you're hungry and want to grab an hour break to eat.

Sadly, I went 0-6, but it's all good. I didn't practice my squads beforehand, so some practice would have helped. My two squads:

Team A
4x Zombies of Moridan
Krav Maga Agents
Raelin the Kyrie Warrior
Isamu
Otanashi

Team B
2x Shaolin Monks
Win Chui Wu
2x Marro Stinger
Marcu

But all I have to say is Nyys, your son is an awesome player. He seriously took out my Team A with half of his orcs.

I also need to say, in response to Kildawabit, I feel like a DnD troll now, I need to watch out for fire!

Edit: For being an Secondary Ed/English major, I have horrible grammar :(

Had a blast again... sorry we had to get out so quick, but I got in 7 games(nothing to thumb a nose at!)

I really liked the whole give them directions, and let them go aspect of this tournament, it's really simple, and you get to play the people your interested in playing, instead of Onacara for the 20th time!

Cleon- While I didn't get a shot at playing with you,I had a great time talking with you. I hope you got all the sound on the Game show video... it's was very funny! (I hope to see that on here!)

Cleon's Dad aka Bob- I have to admire how great a player you are Even if it was that close of a game, you got the short end of the stick with the armies!Yet you still beat me with my own Runa! I tip my hat to you!

Onacara & Son's- Well, I got wooped by Dylan, and he should be very proud of the way he played... top notch play their(someone taught him how to play competitively!) And then beat by Anthony Jr. But this one could have gone either way... especially if lava damage had been nicer to me!

Lobo & son- Congrat's to Jimmy for kicking Onacara's butt. It's great to see you, and have our little side conversations amoung battles.

Ollie- I didn't get to much time to talk with you because of all the games I had to cram in the small amount of time I had to play, but I still love meeting up with you.

NYYS- Boo!

IlikePI- I enjoyed our game together, another close one like most of my games. I hope to get to play you again, because your a fun person to play with, with a good competitive mind.
I hope next time we face all 38 times I tried to helm work!

Arp/Arp's dad- It's always fun to meet up with you guys, I love to talk with you, and congrat's on the Game show win!

Jeremy- I really enjoyed my first game with you, I just squeaked out a win!

Guru/Tiff/Ninja- I always love catching up with you guy's, I'm glad you like to new place guru. I took down tiff(barely thanks to Marcu I pulled out the victory) I'm coming for you guys next!!!

I wish I had got to use my Shades more, I only got to use them once, but it was my most dominating win!

I hope to see you guys at the next couple tournaments.

Oh, and if anyone is wondering about the hair... that's what was left of my semi permanent Pink hair from Brest Cancer week at my school.

I played

Team A
2xMinion's-220
Runa-120
Krav
2-4, Swapped twice once with Bob, the other with Tiff!

Team B
2x Shades of Bleakewoode-200
4xStingers-240
1-0
Sadly I only got to play it once, but when I did play it, I kicked major butt!

Great turnout and excellent system! I hope we play like that again soon!

A Army:
Crixus, Spartacus, Gladiators X2 and Isamu

B Army:
Hive, Dividers X2 and stingers x3.

Played 10 games, went 5/5 and only swapped armies once (and got decimated by my own steamroller!

Was great to see everyone and to play with some new players! Great games all around!

The gameshow was hilarious as well! Grats Arp on your rain-man-like bout of scape knowledge!

That was a great day!
It's not a failure if you had fun and I certainly did. I lost nearly every game I played that day.

I want to thank all the cool people who set up maps, supported the prize table, arranged for the room, enjoyed scaperdy, and helped clean up at the end of the night.

As far as scaperdy goes heres what I learned.
- There are alot of words in the heroscape universe that are hard to spell
- If you don't know the answer don't guess and test (it's not like math)
- Grungebob is a hairstylist, and someone else here had a very boring blog for several months.
-Nobody knows storyline any better than they know that Steve Baker was one of the makers, poor Steve.

Aftermath
- Swiss cake rolls make the pain go away. lol (thanks Mombo101)

Oh yeah, If anyone plaed some games on Cross trails I'd like to hear about it. Just post in my map thread (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?p=860648#post860648). Thanks :D

Alishia (sp) 6-0

It's Alysha, but that's not the worst misspelling I've ever seen. :p

I had a great time playing and meeting some new scapers. I also enjoyed beating my friends, of course. :)

These were my armies:

A Army
Zelrig
3x 10th Regiment
Guilty McCreech

B Army
Atlaga
3x Minions of Utgar
Marcu Esenwein

I played 6 games, using my A Army three times, my B Army twice, and one switch. I really liked that format and thought it kept things interesting all day. It was nice to have an opponent almost instantly after finishing one game. And being able to take a break to go get food. The laid back approach was good while still maintaining an atmosphere of friendly competition.

nyys- I played a game against your son and I just wanted to say that he was a great player! :) That was the game we ended up switching armies and he did very well, despite not having used the units in my army much before.

Well didn't have the best record, but it was a blast. Great to see some familar faces and meeting a few new people also. There were some great close games during the day. I really have to get out to more tournies this year.

From games of epicly failed dice rolls(Onacara you know what I am talking about) to watching Nyys in deep thought over how to use my elven wizards it was a great day.

I would absolutely agree that little nyys was a good sport about losing.

Actually, this time around I only got to game with kids: ona, nyys, lobo.

All played well and were gracious both when doing well and poorly.

(I wasn't trying to pick on little kids. They just happened to be the only people free when I was free. And remember, I used Dund twice so I'd suggest that little ona and little nyys had the advantage. I switched armies, though, with little lobo. Felt a little bad about that, but he didn't seem to mind.)

I had a great time. Thanks Onacara, Aeston, prize-donaters etc. for putting it all together. Good to see everyone as always.

I went 6-2 over the day (eight games of 'scape ): 5-0 with my A army (Knights x3, Denrick, Finn, Marro Warriors); 1-1 with my B army (Dividers x4, Ninjas, Deathwalker 8000); 0-1 on a switch with Onacara Jr (Su-Bak-Na, Dividers x2, Stingers x3). [Hmm, I had thought I was 7-2, but I'm also fairly sure of the scores for each army. :?]

I might write up some proper battle reports or, more likely, just note a couple of cool incidents as I have time.

Ollie, I heard you're close to 100 tournament games played, that true?

Not only close---I've played exactly 100! (Or 101 if my original hunch that I was 7-2 is right and I've miscounted the results for one of the armies.)

Random story from the start of the day. Your gang was talking while we were outside at the start of the day and I was on the periphery of the conversation and someone (you?) said that someone had shot two ducks this week. I only just managed to stop myself saying "That's nothing, I killed three with garden shears a couple of days ago". I figured, given that I didn't know about half of them, that it would have been heard as "Hello, I'm a bobble-hatted psycho". Yay for thinking before speaking. :)

Don't worry Ollie, it's never too late to late to make a bad impression. Take it from me, I would know. :)
Notably I really just goofed around all day and had fun. At one point there was a gorillinator who was refusing to go down so well that I let him soak up shots for two rounds. I think he finally keeled over in the third. Don't forget to count that game against me toward your victory pool.

Yup, that was me. My sis shot two ducks with her boyfriend this week while hunting. She goes to school in upstate New York. Seriously though, you should have commented, it would have been cool :D

I am a little ticked I didn't get the chance to ask you and/or Nyys to a match. On the other hand, I played a bunch of other people I've never played before, and some I have, so it's all good.

And yeah, Shades_Fan, we did have a close match. Probably one of the best/most fun of the day. (I'm Jeremy btw, lol).

Anyone hear from Benji, and how the softball game went?

Well you did get to play the little guy. He said at the end of the day that his match against you was his favorite. Though he did also mention how his Braxas (B Army) reeked havoc on Onacara... over and over and over again. :)

I played
team A
Tul-bak-ra
Q 10
3 dividers
Isamu
4 games (three wins one loss to Killdawabit vs a ton of Axegrinders and Migol)

Team B
Braxas
3 10th foot
also 4 games (one loss to Onacara Vs 4th mass/Sentinels)

I went 6 and 2 for the day but never had to switch my army. (I'm a little bit sad about that)
Thanks to everybody who played and to Onacara for running the event everyone had a blast.

OK, finally have some time for some Battle Reports.

First I have to give a HUGE thank you to Onacara for running a first rate game day. The completely open format was awesome, got to play all games to completion, and played nothing but a bunch of very relaxed and laid back games.

Oh and  on going with all non-BoV maps. It was a lot of fun to play on some new maps, many of which I had never seen before. This was the perfect setting to give them a whirl.

My Armies:

A: Zelrig, Marcus, Romans x3
B: DW9K, DW8K, Rats x4

I went 5-2 on the day.

Army A 4-0
Army B 0-2
Switch 1-0

Game 1 vs Kelly (A armies): Braxas, MWs, Krav, Ratsx2 on Ignition by Dignan.

http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//ignition_RI6.jpg

I'm still trying to figure out how I won this game. There was a big Dragon fight in the center of the map that ended with Zelrig six feet under, and with Braxas still standing I figured my Romans were toast. At first they were, especially when Marcus fell to Acid Breath. Somehow though I managed to do enough damage to Braxas before Zelrig bit it, and kept her pinned down with one Roman at a time while keeping the rest out of her range. Once the Black Beauty went down, I was able to take out the last Krav and MW, which left two rats to face three Romans. Crazy good match! 1-0

Game 2 vs uglyhornedmule (swap armies): Ulginesh, Emiroon, Kyntela, Jorhdawn, Chardris on Channel Buildup by Gamebear.

http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//channelbuildup_W3B.jpg

This game gave me a huge mind cramp as I have never used the Elves anywhere other than against my son in home games. I knew I had to be both lucky and nearly perfect in order to take out my Z/Romans.

The one thing I had going for me was that fact that it was all heroes, so Majestic Fires could only do so much.

The entire game I had my Elves up on the high sand hill and used the grouping bonus and the unique attack glyph to their full potential. I would say the turning point in the game as when I was able to use Jordawn's fire ball and roasted 4 Romans in one shot in the early game. UHM got a case of 'I can't roll a shield for my life' and many went down before they ever reached the Elves.

Zelrig was also held at bay by the combo of Emiroon and Kyntela. Some how they kept rolling just enough defense dice to stay alive all while chipping away at Z-man.

Came down to Ulginesh and Jorhdawn against 3-4 Romans, and with the height advantage plus the unique attack glyph, attacks of five were simply too much. Another great match. 2-0

Game 3 vs WarlordAlpha (A armies): Raelin, Finn, Stingers x2, Izumi, Syvarris on Redhorn Gate by Mad_Wookie.

http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//redhorn1_6kU.jpg

WA mentioned in another post that he couldn't roll anything for his life. I think he was being nice, as it was much worse than that. I've never seen dice be so evil for anyone before. Its not like I was rolling great either, WA simply could do nothing right when it came to the dice.

I ran Zelrig straight out to his start zone to take out he stingers all while building up the Romans in the center of the map. Doing exactly what he was supposed to do WA engaged Zelrig to stop him from blasting away at everyone. I in turn kept on disengaging, even from multiple enemies at times, and not once was the free swipe successful. Before going down, Z killed all but one Stingers, and Syvarris. After that it was a wall of Romans that rushed in with Marcus and cut down what remained. 3-0

Game 4 vs Shadesfan (B armies): Stingers x4, Shades x2 on Island Conflict by R˙chean.

http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//island%20conflict_R34.jpg

I've been wanting to take this DW build to an event for a while but I always chickened out in the end. The format we used this year was the perfect setting to finally find the courage though.

I did not expect this army to do well, but I thought it could hold its own. I was very much ready for the DW whiff to be my demise...

This game was pretty much over before it started. Instead of the DWs failing to defend, they turned on my instead. On two consecutive rolls of the D20 in the 3rd round of OMs my DWs were Soul Devoured on a 20 and a 19. Game, set, match. 3-1

Game 5 vs SuperEsenwein (B armies): Cyprien, Sonya, Repulsors X3, MW, Zetacron on Katsuno Land by Longheroscaper.

http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//katsuno%20land_Cnf.jpg

OK, so again, not only do I have to worry about the DW whiff, I also had to mind all the Repulsors and their anti-soulborg abilities.

I lost the match, but I was quite happy with how the army performed overall. I think that if I could have kept one of my DWs alive for one more set of OMs then the result may have been different. But such is the way of the DW, always needing just one more roll.

Before my 440 points was destroyed I was able to take out 350+ myself, so it was a close match. 3-2

Game 6 vs Pat (A armies): Gruts x4, Ornak, Cyprien, Marcu on River Walk by Rychean.

http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//river%20walk_M0z.jpg

This was by far my favorite map of the day to play on. Not so sure it is a tournament worthy map, but to me this map screams Heroscape, I could almost hear the story telling itself.

This game pretty much came down to Cyprien not rolling a good Chill Touch roll until Zelrig already had 5 of his wounds and would have been dead if you just spit on him. Instead Z stayed alive long enough to inflict enough damage for the Romans to finish Cyprien off. From there it was basically Romans vs Gruts, which was pretty cool to look at IMO. 4-2

Game 7 vs little nyys (A armies): Grimnak, Tornak, Blades x2, Heavies x2 on Brawl in the Park by nyys.

http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//brawlpark01_b3V.jpg

Even though we play all the time at home the little guy wanted to play the Old Man for his last game of the day. It was a long day and after 12 hours between the drive, set-up, and gaming all day, little nyys was cooked. There was no more clear indicator than when he disengaged Grimnak from three Romans at the same time and all three swipes hit, killing him outright.

Zelrig did most of the damage, and by the end of it I was picking the little guy up off the floor. 5-2

Great day!

You forgot to mention how I killed at least one of my own stingers over the course of that game  I think I killed one or two, and then there was that absolutely epic roll with the samurai...

It was a lot of fun at the end there though, holding on for dear life with two samurai, a severely wounded raelin and a suicidal stinger

edit: looking back, I can't help but laugh as I type this out. Very little about that should be funny but just the absurd circumstances surrounding my defeat makes it absolutely hilarious.

I forgot about the kamikaze Stinger, and yeah, you can really only laugh off a bad game with the dice. Look at it this way, the next time we match-up the dice Gods will probably be with you as the math evens itself out. :)

I was talking to somebody, can't remember who it was, but I was saying how I was really inconsistent all day and a couple games I was rolling incredible dice and other games I couldn't do anything. He said that throughout the day, between the good rolls and bad rolls, I probably rolled about average altogether, which is probably right.

Oh well, that is what next time is for

Battle Report time
Overall I went with 2 fun armies

A Army-1-3
2xMinions-220
Runa-120
Krav-100

B Army-1-0
2xShades-200
4xStingers-240

My opponents were
Mombo 101
Dylan
Anthony Jr.
Tiff
Nyys
IlikePI
Bob

Round 1
River WalkMap:http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//river%20walk_M0z.jpg
Opponent: Mombo 101
Used A Armies
Opponents army:
4x Zombies of Moridan
Krav Maga Agents
Raelin the Kyrie Warrior
Isamu
Otanashi

I was in great shape at first moving Krav to the hills on the map on my side of the river, and getting 2 hits on Raelin.
Then it seemed I couldn't land a blow with my Krav, and Mombo was starting to find his footing with an oncoming horde of Zombies. So now was the time to bring the minions in, I successfully killed 2 Krav, and put a minion next to Raelin on height. She eventually fell to that minion but only because Mombo missed the fact that he could have onslaughted, and didn't. I capitalized on this, but My minions were starting to fall quickly. The entire game went back and forth with him inching out ahead and me catching up and vice-versa! I eventually won against his Isamu (Who just wouldn't go down) & 1 Krav with my Runa!
1-0

Round 2
Muck and Mire
http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//muck2_6kc.jpg
Opponent:DylanUsed A Armies again!
Opponents army:
3xSacred Band-150
Kaemon-120
Parmenio-90
Marro Warriors-50
30(Filler)

Dylan has been wanting to fight me for a long time, and he got his chance. The map didn't help me at all, however his glyph the Common Attack+1 did. My minions and Krav took out Parmenio, and all his sacred band, but with the Krav I couldn't roll a single shield against his Kaemon. He destroyed my army after the minions died. This was my biggest lose of the day, which was only like 280's, which should say something about my play.
1-1

Round 3
Valhallan Valley
http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//valhallan_valley_62l.jpg
Opponent: Anthony Jr.
Used A armies... yet again
Opponents Army:
Su-Bak-Na-160
2xDividers-100
3xStingers-180

This was such a close game, it came down to luck. I slaughtered Stingers and Divider, losing all my Krav, and many of my minions in the process. My biggest loss came not from the hands of Anthony Jr., but from lava damage, which killed
2xKrav
4 Minions
This was a huge loss for my team, and it came down to a Su-Bak-Na with 3 life left against a minion, Su-bak-na coming out on top. Meanwhile he didn't suffer from stinger drain's negative effects even once. But don't let that take away from his victory... he still beat me fair and square after all, I got on the lava in the first place(and I would have done it again!)
1-2

Round 4
Forgotten Highway
http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//forgotten%20highways_WoZ.jpg
Opponent: Tiff
We switched armies(to my dismay)
Opponents army
Venoc Warlord-120
2xArmocs-130
Isamu-10
Marcu-20
4xVenoc's-160

Anyone who has ever played Vipers against minions knows what happens when they face off. Anyone who plays Vipers knows how much luck is involved in you winning. Luckily with several frenzies 4/5 I think I was able to widdle the minions down to 3, and a Runa. Meanwhile I lost all but Marcu/Isamu/1 Venoc

I think experience in the game hurt Tiff the most, because while she did play correctly, she hadn't used minions, and this was a tricky army to play. With luck of the dice from Marcu, and some smart play with the team of Marcu/Isamu, I was able to attack from height with Marcu, while tying up the minions with Isamu. With some good attacks finishing with a all 4 atack dice roll, I was able to squeak out a victory.
2-2

Round 5
Island Confict
http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//island%20conflict_R34.jpg
Opponent:Nyys
B armies(Finally)
Opponents army:
DW 9000-140
DW 8000-130
4x Deathreavers-160

Now, I know one might think it doesn't take a lot of skill to Soul Devour.... but their dead wrong... while the actual dice roll isn't to easy to do and completely relay's on luck, setting up so you don't lose shades is incredibly difficult. I got the best possible glyph selection... the Initiative glyph, which if on the board Shades need more than my mom needs coffee in the morning.

So because he had deathreavers, I knew I wasn't just going to march out shade's, so I decided to let the rats come to me until He grabbed the glyph, and they were to close for comfort... they I would stinger drain with height against his Rat's. He couldn't roll defense to well with the reavers(Not horrible, but not well)
So after I killed the reaver on the Glyph, I knew it was time to make my move... on the last marker of the round I took the glyph and set up to take his 8000[Who was doing a number on my Shades and stinger... because I couldn't roll defense either.

Next round with me going first...20, all three markers gone, on the third marker 19 now I have both his DW's, and after a couple failed attempts, conceded!
3-2

Round 6
Brawl in the Park
http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//brawlpark01_b3V.jpg
Opponent: I like PI
Rolled another A
Opponent's Army:
Raelin-80
4xStingers-240
Kaemon-120

Fielding one of the most competitive armies at the tournament, It was a very close game, with his 2 last stingers just egging out... but the reason I summed all that up so quickly, is because I wanted to point out that Runa is pure Crap... After (No exaggeration) 47 Tries at Helm... 3 stingers died, all from Runa's attacks, not the Helm. It was so horrible that I had to roll the d20 47 times, and didn't get one benefit from it. I killed Raelin so quickly it was down to just stingers. Kaemon died near mid game.

He didn't feel the backlash of stinger drain even once which really helped him, and my krav died slowly, but not slowly enough. I had two minions left against 4 Stingers, 2 of which I killed before finally losing! This is one of my favorite games, because It was so close between a more fun army, and an ultra competitive one. I used Runa perfectly and she wouldn't even give me one single 20... which with a game this close would have changed the entire gameplay outcome. My plan was to tye up his stingers making Raelin Obsolete so I could kill her, along with several stingers before Runa would fall. She lasted just long enough, and it was a great game!
3-3

Round 7
Healing Waters
http://www.heroscapers.com/downloads//healingwaters_q88.jpg
Opponent:Bob
Switch!!!![Great news for me]
Opponents army:
4x4th Mass-280
Thorgrim-80
Concan-80

This was horrible for Bob, because he no only has never played the Minions/Runa, but had an amazing army which I had played before at home prepping to face it. This game should be an example of how a great player can use the Krav against the 4th, who probably killed about 3/4ths of my 4th.

I rushed out Concan to soon, and it was a very close game until it was down to Runa on height vs 2 4th mass. Well, Runa kicked some @$$ finally! To bad it was for his team! I lost!
3-4
Another great game, Bob's,Jeremy's, and IlikePi's games were my favorite... if only I got to play my shades more!

Luckily at home I'm 8-1 now 9-1 with the Shades

Took some inventory today, and I am missing one, single hex, swamp land tile. The underside should be marked with a PL. Anyone who brought maps, if you wouldn't mind taking a look.

It's also possible I lost it at another tournament (haven't done inventory in a while).

Thats true we did use one hex tile but if that map was Nyys stuff then he should be up by one tile not behind by one. The tile we took came from Onacaras box behind the prize table. All of Nyys stuf was on the other side of the room. The map was Muck and Mire (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/downloads.php?do=file&id=935) if it makes a difference to anyone. Hope that helps or at least limits the possibilities.
