I would NOT like to round the corner and come face-to-face with this crowd! Nice work!

Nice paint jobs! Is the tower they are standing on custom built, or a store bought item?

Very nice, did you paint it all yourself? In Warhammer are there specific schemes in which you are supposed to follow, are is it all up to the painter to decide?

Its up to the painter, which rocks.

Nice job, Jormi!

Thanks, the display base was custom made, and yes we can paint our models however we like.

Did you win any battles at Gencon? What sort of armies did you face?

My first game in the first tourney was against High Elves with two dragons, 3 blocks of 10 Silver Helms, 2 x10 Archers and 2 RBTs. I won that game.

I then played Dwarfs on an open field and his guns and warmachines destroyed most of my army as it tried to get into battle.

Then I played a Vampire Count army with one block of 100 zombies, a couple smaller blocks of zombies, some skeletons and some carn wraiths. I took out a lot of stuff, but he ended up winning.

In my next tourney I started off against another Lizardmen player and I think I beat him in deployment. I got him to commit and then I hit the other side hard.

Then I got paired up against Dwarfs again on a map that had hills in the Deployment zone and no LoS blocking. Once again my army got ate up on the way to combat.

My last battle was against the VC army I had played the day before, but this time I killed his general and all his zombies. There were only a couple of Carn Wraiths and some Skeletons left at the end.

I got to see Jormi's army up close and the pictures don't do it justice. They looked fantastic!! Nice work, JB!

Yeah, it looks really cool. Good to hear that you did rather well.

I've been over come with a desire to get into Warhammer lately, though I'm not sure I can afford it.
Just perusing for fun, I took a liking to the Warriors of Chaos army. Do you have an opinion on them? They seem to lack range, is that as big a deal as it would be in Heroscape?

Thanks

As far as the affordability, it is kind of expensive, but if you start small and gradually build it isn't too noticeable. Also, ebay is a great place to get things cheap and if you are going with WoC, your guys are expensive enough that you don't need a lot of them.

I think the WoC are a good army. They have the speed and powerful magic to counteract their lack of range. Lizardmen really don't have much for range either.

Yeah, the WOC are incredibly good: scotty beats me with them every time...

PM scotty about the Warriors of Chaos, and enjoy the hobby.
