Oh awesome! Sounds very cool. I take it you'll include parts of the official maps too? Like having the Table of Giants near the Wellspring of Obscession?

well, its on a miniature scale, so i can't really make the actual perticular battlefields, but i could mark them with glyphs.

This is soooo cool!! Does anybody know how to turn a sweeping view of this map into a tiny video clip? I mean it is so awesome to slowly zoom in and then pull up and crop dust the terrain as you go accross the map. It is like you're flying a plane over Valhalla!!!

Great work, very cool. I see a water tile missing, but don't think that matters since i fixed it myself when i downloaded it. I would have gone insane placing all those one spaced tiles.

SBN, it's actually pretty easy with VS. You can click the tile you want in the selection window, click+hold where you want on the map window and just drag around. It automatically places terrain on any hex you mouse over!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Just kidding, i did that but it still took like 3 hours.

i started thaleanks tundra first, so it has the most detailed part of it.
notice how tundra turns to grass, and ice to water at a certain point.

Hmmm, 223 master sets, 42 volcaren wastelands, 66 thalenek tundra, and 52 RttFF...I am just shy of that, guess I will not be playing on this map...

Nice work, now if only someone had this ungodly amount of heroscape tiles....

seriously, what did you say?I'll see if my understanding helps.

He would like to see more elevation changes in the map. Mountains and the like, but assumes it would make the map even larger.

dra(gon) does pretty well with his english as a second language posts, I can't even begin to do that in any language other than my native english.

oh, well, I ran out of room in Virtual Scape, so to keep it to scale, it would need to be that big.

theats
September 17th, 2006, 05:51 PM
um, unless you have 230+ mastersets and whatnot, and 16 sq. Ft. of space, 4 hours(the watter mostly)

Nwojedi
September 17th, 2006, 11:13 PM
I always wanted to do a scale map from LoTR like that. but to give any area any kind of depth, the map would have to be as big as my house. Or more. But how awesome would that be. Could play it like LOTR risk. Oh man, how awesome would that be. The same game mechanics of LOTR RISK, but each fighter would be able to fight individually and have special abilites. OMG, that is so awesome. I think i'm gonna......ummm, which forum is this again? CRap :(

duh, we wouldn't need half the sets, its just ALL THAT WATER!!!I'm still hoping they come out with a water expansion that would have grouped water tiles like the ice tiles for under the glaciers. Plus 2-5 straight bits for easier river building.

mmmmm, lakes and rivers...
