Have you ever played another miniatures game such as Heroclix or Horrorclix on a Heroscape map? I do that all the time! It's very interesting and fun.

Actually though, it's good advice. You'll be neg-repped to bits if you don't search.

Just to clarify I do not neg rep for not using the SEARCH function...unless of course you keep doing it after being told to use it.

(Good advice above, but I'll try to keep on-topic)
I don't play other miniatures games because HeroScape eats up enough of my disposable income as it is! I think it would be a good idea to try converting some games, though, because HS terrain is so good at creating interesting landscapes.

My brother and I played Star Wars minis on a Heroscape field once. Got us kinda mixed up with the rules. "I'm targeting that guy from start zone." "Did you even check his range?" "Star Wars minis don't HAVE range idiot!" "I thought we were playing heroscape?" "No. I told you, we're playing star wars on a heroscape FIELD." "Oh, right. So, You're attacking this guy, right?" "Yeah. from my start zone." I thought we were playing heroscape?" "AAAAAAAGH!!"

You would have known that if you had searched.
My friend has been developing this table top game for a while and once I showed him HS he fell in love with the hexes. No more rulers for movement, he's got a new look to his maps. However, as Nooblar said, I can't exactly afford another miniatures game. :D

I play Star Wars Minis with Heroscape terrain, using a +1 for height advantage on the D20 rolls (SWM uses D20s to determing hits and has a fixed damage rating). Line of sight rules remain, and I use castle walls and ruins as LOS blockers.
Pretty fun, but I like the SWM maps better as they're more thematic. If you did happen to get some Leifkicker terrain, the nice space stuff, it would work out pretty well for a crossover, I think.

In my Dungeons and Dragons campaign we play on HeroScape maps when I feel visible height would add a lot to the battle.
It worked very well for creating a "forest crawl" with fog of war, where the party could only see about 20 hexes in front of them as they made their way through a forest maze. I had drawn the map ahead of time and laid the pieces down as that portion became visible.
The biggest issue is that the hexes are 1 1/2 inches, which throws off the scale slightly. We just home-rule flanking and large creature rules.

HS terrain is very versatile. You can use it for almost anything!
...Reason #57 why HeroScape is awesome.

I kind of wish there were some square heroscape tiles as well. Possibly ones that could fit together with hexes when the edge of a hex and square map meet. I love the tiles, but there are times that the hexes really foul things up.
I've been toying with painting a master set of terrain ad asphalt and concrete tiles and adding street stripes to set up city streets. It's a real pain trying to work out 90 degree angles.
