Okay, first things first. My school has a gaming club, with Junior High and Senior High divisions. About two years ago, I suggested that they order a Heroscapce set, and because of that set, I had to get some myself. Addiction born. Over the next year or so here, I've placed several orders getting my own stuff. Now this local gaming club has also ordered some stuff, but they don't have too much. Several of the gamers get jealous when me and my friends play with our stuff actually, wishing that they could that the club had it.

So now, after the club has held our school-led gaming Convention, our only fundraiser, they got money to spend. (As always :) ). Basically they have put me in charge of placing an order for the school so we could get more stuff. They want more stuff for the Junior High, and would also like to start a smaller collection at the Senior High.

At the Junior High they have:
2 MS1
1 MS2
1 TT (Which I want sooo bad...;))
Most of waves 5 and 6 (Singles of everything for the most part)
RV
OR

And that's it. They could use a lot. So basically the idea is that I have 500-600 dollars to spend on HS stuff for the club, for both the JH, and SH branches. The SH only needs MS and Large Expansions, not too much else. The JH branch should get most of the cash, for more waves, terrain, etc. I can order from wherever, and it can be in seperate orders. I'm primarily looking at HMG, and WGHQ. However HasbroToyShop may still have some stuff, so I can order from there too.

My question is what do you think we should order?

(One other thing is most of them don't really care about multiple commons, or how good a figure is. They just love figures, and the more diversity, the better for them. Also they do like extra terrain, but most of the order should be more figures, especially new ones. (Well new to them.)

Finally, they want this ordered within a few days. So W1 can be ordered, but they don't care about W9 as of now. They'll get that later.

Defiantly RttFF!
Based on what you've said
May I suggest...
3x Ticalla Jungle, (http://www.wargamersheadquarters.com/product/heroscape-ticalla-jungle-terrain-set-package-deal-x-3.html) A beautiful set, and three would make you perfect for a good price!

I'd suggest getting a few Gruts, Vipers, and Romans. Great playability and diverstity, as well as just being awesome units.

I agree with Shades Fan on getting some trees. You could also throw out some ideas of figures to the group and see what they like (fantasy, robots, cowboys, etc.).

You might want to talk to Sandra from HMG or Len from WGHQ directly, you might be able to get a bulk discount of some sort since you're ordering for your school. I would decide what to get without a discount, then add on extra stuff if you are able to get one. I recommend jungle terrain, there are still a couple places with cheap castle sets, you definitely need road to the forgotten forest. then waves and large expansions you don't already have, probably starting with the newest ones and rereleases.

You could also get a zombie horde. Or the Gladiators. Or cowboys. What does your nerd herd like?

Wave 9....

But seriously, I started collecting by just getting the uniques, to save my wallet. You can play decent games without commons. But now I've got two sets of Minions and Drones, with a third coming in a trade, planning on three sets of Dwarves and Gladiators, and I picked up four packs of Minute Men and Wolves on clearance at WalMart a few days ago. :p

Pyre's absolutely right. The only duplicate commons I have are the two sets of the SotM marro, and three sets of each W2 common. I prefer the heroes myself also.

I don't think you can go wrong with this set http://www.wargamersheadquarters.com/product/heroscape-orms-return-heroes-of-laur-x-1-and-road-to-the-forgotten-forest-terrain-x-2.html

Step 1: RTTFF is a must have. Order 2 sets ASAP.

Step 2: TJ (x2) and AA should get picked up if you can still find them.

Step 3: Wave 2, 3, 7, & 8 all made appearences in the last year so search high and low to find as many of those packs for the $11-$13 price that you can before they dissapear. They may not get reprinted for a couple years now so get searching.

Step 4: Buy Wave 1, it should be on store shelves very soon.

Step 5: Hold back some of the money ($46 for one of each pack) and buy some Wave 9 later this summer.

--- I would not spend money on the castle set. It is really cool but does not see as much use on the gaming table as RTTFF and TJ do.

--- Make use of any discounts or deals you can to get as much stuff as you can out of your budget.

Definetly some RttFF. The trees and road provide a lot to the game. Also, if you can, I suggest getting your hands on a castle. They can be fun, and with a group of people, a small siege is possible.
