Long time lurker; first time poster....
My wife and I snagged a Raknar's Vision along with a complete set of Wave 5 last weekend, and we were going thru all the cards when we noticed that they all seem to be misprinted from front to back...

I could scan all of the cards, if anyone wants to see them, but this concerns me. Has anyone else run across these errors? Has Hasbro even noticed it? have they been informed? Do they have a fix?
If not, I'm thinking I should photo copy one side and just paste that set of stats over the "offending" ones, so that front and back match?

No, from what I can see at the moment, they are correct. The one side is the Basic Game, while the other side is the Master Game.
The Basic Game has no special powers, while the Master Game does. Some Basic Game units have increased base stats to make up for the loss of powers (mostly heroes), while the rest don't.
The Stats with the Life stat (and the Point Cost) listed are the correct, Master Game stats. Note that Point Cost is not a valid way to determine balanced armies in the Basic Game, you just kinda have to fudge it.
Now... if you are talking about the side with the special powers text having the Basic Game stats... then it is wrong, although I have never heard of anyone running into this.
Edit: Note that is common here on these boards to refer to the Master Game side of a card as the front, and the Basic game side as the back (since it contains the Planet of Origin of the unit and the collectors numbers)

Thanks Hand!
This sounds like a dumb question but, does anyone actually play the "basic game"?
We're pretty much a "Master Game" kinda household. I don't think we've ever played "basic".
Again, thanks for the answer!

Nope. Not even my 7 year old sister plays by the basic rules.

thehandofzarquon is correct, to confirm this simply look at any Hero Army Card from the Master Set (or any other Hero Army Card from any expansion for that matter). The Basic side will list stronger attributes. This is, of course, inconsequetial if you are playing the Master Game Rules.
Some people may have once played the Basic Game, but here at scapers the vast majority of members went straight to the Master Game bypassing the Basic Game altogether.

It was so boring it almost turned me off of buying Heroscape altogether :P

A few of us with younger kids (my son is 4) play the basic game with them.
But I doubt any older kids or adult gamers would ever use the basic game for any thing more than a one time lerning tool.

My son just turned 3. And he wants to play Heroscape so bad. He's so amazed by it. How far into 4 is your son, and how's his attention span and grasp of the basic game?

mangler - I may have missed something -
did you actually think that both sides' stats should be the same?

When we got the game initially my son had just turned 5. For the first couple of months I played Basic Rules with him. After that I slowly worked in the Master Rules. Two years later he'd doing fine with the Master Rules.
