Have you ever wondered during you adventures what powers do the Marr truly have? Does Utgar fully understand the demonic twisted thinking of Marr... I think not, and i think one day he too will find himself traped in a Marr Hive growing into a horric creature by there own design.

With that said...Welcome to MY HEROSCAPE

In my heroscape Krug has become another twisted tool of Marr

Very nice figures. They actually look like they could be official releases. Even the cards are complete with a back side.

Are we sure Leifkicker is not actually a Hasbro employee doing target research to see how we respond to their new figures and cards? =P

BTW what tools did you use for the detail work on that figure? The pre-paint sculpt is really impressive with all the grooves and texture you added.

Great job on the Kr-Ug-Sa and the Spores. They look great and the abilities are very cool!

I used #0 clay sculpty tools along with a metal clay tool that has a very tiny ball at the end, about the size of the ball in a ball point pin, and a needle point on the other.

The frame was made out of a metal cloths hanger and aluminum foil to bulk things up.

Woo.... that is the most amazing thing I have ever seen... I truly wish I had half of your talent, Leifkicker! To be able to create sculpts like that must be very satisfying. How long did it take you, up to the stage where its ready to paint? Would you ever consider creating these for other people?

It took im guessing around 5 hours of sculpting. but over all it took around 4 days. I have to do a little at a time as the sculpting putty hardens pretty fast.

I wouldnt ever be able to rescuplt the EXACT same thing. I could make a similar one though and making a mold is always an option by my experiance there is limited. I have started researching it. I can put the cards up in a big format if one was to wish to print those out.

Anyone with casting experiance please post tips and such, If i was able to cast these i would have no problems getting a cast out to those who wish to have one assuming the pay for the casting cost and shipping :)

Wow... saw some of that scenery when you entered it in the custom competition. Looks absolutely ace, especially with Kr-ug-sa and fellows on it. Have you made any other bits and pieces, Leifkicker?

The 24 hex piece was the only piece i had during the contest the others you see where finished just tonight :)

I have the dragon which is in another post under 1st sculpt
im working on one of those stargate things but its not painted and i also have a ruined building out of foam

im ready to make more but my son mixed my supply of green stuff together and made a big green ball about the size of your fist.... sigh i have more clay coming in the mail but that will take a bit...

i started working on the flying avatar that CA drew up on the main page but my armature is too small so im looking for something else on that...

always open to ideas too :)

All looks great, Leifkicker. It reminds of when I used to play Games Workshop's Advanced Space Crusade (not sure if you are familiar with that) It was played on a standard jigsaw, flat board with colourful designs on it to depict the inside of a Tyranid Hive ship (I think, if memory serves correct). Your Marro scenery is exactly how I used to picture Advanced Space Crusade would look if it was in 3D. Superb!!

Frick! I can see the fun you had in creating those Marro sculpts, Kicker!

Yep! My thoughts exactly! I never played Advanced SP, but have obsessively viewed pictures of the board plenty!

I have heard of the game you mention but never seen it.

If you havent bought a set of the ruins from gamesworkshop then i highly suggest that. As they are perfect for herscape and even match up nice to the ruins from heroscape.

My inspiration for the Marr terrain actually game out of biology books. I imagined a human turned inside out...organs and such....gross i know but the Marr are a biologicaly mesh of furturistic weapons...

As usual Great Work on your sculpts, though the colors seem a little too happy for Marro stuff, :D

Are you refering to the LOTR ruins? I think those are way too thin and flimsy - I prefer my ruins to have a bit more thickness to them, reckon it makes them look more substantial.

that is what i was talking about, notice the first two spurs of buildings, on the bottom right you can kind of see what it looks like

each spur equals 2 corners of a building, the thicknes is the exact same as the ruins from heroscape, everything matches perfect except for the color is flat gray. you will have to paint to match heroscape ruins.

I must have for any heroscaper looking to add "official" looking items to there game.

Ah. Those ones do look fairly cool. Looks very similar to the Heroscape ruins, as you said!

I did a few days of research on casting and have concluded that it looks fun, and with a little time and effort something i can do and learn. I have orderd about $100 in casting resins, RTV mold rubber, and other materials that ill need to cast some figures, and make lots and lots and lots of terrain

cant wait. Ill post some pics and more info when i get some molds and castings done.
