This is a story that is taking place in the regular Wolverine series, but it is a Mini-series that takes place out of continuity. It is about Logan being a washed up old man, who no longer believes in violence, and has to help Hawkeye get from one side of the country to the other. The catch? Super Villians now run a majority of America.

This is one of the greatest books I have read in a while, and I'm only posting about it because I am thinking about the next chapter that I am buying on Wednesday (about time!).

How and why does Wolverine get old and renounce violence? He's practically immortal and more violent than a Die Hard movie!

How did hawkeye live that long is the better question.
Wolvie does actually age (slowly of course) and has at points tried to deny violence (see X-Men Origins) so that part doesn't seem totally implausible. Hawkeye not being dead by the time that comes to pass is not possible.

People being able to shoot lasers out of their eyes and control weather is plausable though right?

That’s not hard to believe. It’s only been about 50 years. Hawkeye is probably in his late seventies or early eighties. He could still kick butt. Look at Clint Eastwood. That guy is seventy nine and is still tough as nails. Plus, Hawkeye is in exceptional super-hero shape. I find it harder to believe that anyone would choose to drive the Spidermobile.

Old Man Logan is finished now, but it was amazing!

Books like this one make me so thankful that I still read comics. While is is essentially a cross between Unforgiven and the Saint of Killers story (which was based on Unforgiven), it is still great.

As for people's concerns about Hawkeye being as old as he was, Magneto was still around, along with Red Skull, and Dr Doom, so it's pretty evident that MU characters just live long. The only reason there weren't more heroes is because they were probably killed.
