First duplicates

Today was a proud day for me in my Heroscape career. While at Target shopping for school supplies, I checked the Heroscape section(like I always do). There on the shelf were a couple Master Sets(no big deal, they're always there), 1 Raknar's Vision(being shipped to me by Amazon, hopefully soon), 1 RTTFF, and the whole set of Utgar's Rage. As I stood admiring the sets, I thought to myself, I wish I had a bunch of terrain or extra units. So, I decided to pick up my first set of extra stuff. I bought the RTTFF and the expansion of minions and drones(because no one uses the drones with only 1 squad). This may not seem like a big deal to most of you, but with my limited budget, Heroscape is quite expensive. Yep..., just thought I might post this...

I remember buying my first Duplicate. It was also the Minions & Drones. Just be lucky you have a limited budget and are too young for Credit Cards.

I remember when I got my first duplicates. It was so hard decideing becuase there was some wave 1 and wave 4. I choose wave 1, but hautns me that I didn't get the greeeks and vipers packs :(

my first dupes were minions/drones too! now, i have 3x minions, and 0x drones....

My target find (Thaelenk tundra) was still better, even thougjh i can't have it yet!

MY first dupes (besides the 2 master sets I bought the first day) was getting 3 sets of Wave 1 when they first hit the stores in 2005. What a great memory...

...So, if I wanted, I'm pretty sure I can get some master sets (full retail, ~$40) that are first edition-- so they'll have sparkly water and the red and blue combat dice.

As it is, I already have three master sets: two 1st (sparkly water) and one 2nd (opaque water) with the Vipers and combo dice.

Do I get _another_ 1st ed. master set just to get the sparkly water tiles???

If I did, it would be for the water tiles. And maybe for the stands so I'd have some extra to attach new figures. (Unless there is a better way to get official stands...) How many sets of sparkly water is enough???

AW! I haven't gotten any duplicates yet (apart from the MS figures which i will probably never use!)

Oh yeah! Romans too. I've got five sets of each. Four of just about everything else except uniques (though I only three each of wave 5 at the moment)

My first duplicates were actually the Knights of Weston/Swogrider pack, not so much for game play as because I really liked the way the knights looked.

The moment that I saw the Orcs expansion pack I knew I had to own as many as I could find.
If memory serves me correct the first duplicates (and triplicates?) I picked up were all the wave 1 boosters. As of right now I have 12 sets of orcs, with 10 of them opened for use. The only other expansions set I have that many of are the Deathreavers and Warriors of Ashra. I also have 8 Swog riders and plan on picking up at lest half a dozen of the wave 6 orc packs, probably more depending on their point cost. You can never have too many orcs :D
