This thread is for locating and communication/ideas between members who would be willing to run HS events in their area.
Either at a game convention, or at a gamestore, or somewhere else.
The purpose of this list is 3-fold:
1) To get event organizers sharing plans and knowledge of who's run(ing) what (always good).
2) To get a possible group of people that share Sandra's HS product and support, by mailing them to the next event/tournament.
There are some Master Sets (I don't know how many) and maybe some expansions :?: and a banner that may be able to be shared for just the cost of shipping.
3) To show any Hasbro representative that we have a willing group of organized and responsible persons that can run events that bring attention and exposure to their game (probably making them money and getting market penetration).
I'll start:
Hi, I'm John, and my wife ToryAdore and friend RPMiller and his family ran the Kublacon events this May. We had a family-friendly demo that attracted good attention and participation and a 16-player tournament won by the ClicketyClackCrew that day, which led to the NorCal GameDays.
We would probably run (at the least demo) events at ConQuest Sac and ConQuest SF, but don't have enough HS sets or prize support (if tournies).
Please post if you have or are interested in running HS events so that other people can learn/enjoy the game.

1.
I host events in North Central Iowa, but draw from several near by states.
I do this with the help of Jormi_Boced who has always been the Tournament Director for my events. Jormi_Boced also hosts events in Southern Minnesota and also draws from a several state area.
2. I'm confused.... you stated:
"2) To get a possible group of people that share Sandra's HS product and support, by mailing them to the next event/tournament.

Would the items listed under 2) be up to HouseMouse/Sara to distribute ? I'm not sure what you are saying. I don't think anyone could assume to get any of the support listed in note 2. I know our group doesn't... but I can and do appreciate what HouseMouse did at Gen-Con. But are they willing to do what you are suggesting?

A couple of us members in NC have been throwing around the idea of doing a tourney in NC...we honestly think we can bring 30 people to play. If that starts to materialize I'll come back and bring them with me.

This is a great idea Reaper!
I used to do this for mage knight/mechwarror/heroclicks (basicly wizkids!) I held several events at the local game store. Unforantly, right now, there IS no local game store, the only way is too far from me, and too small to do anything with, I did spend the better part of nearly 2 years working with a game store and running events, so I know how to do it, just not around here.
When I get somewhere with a better location, I'd be willing to start running events of course, its great that housemouse would support it.
Perhaps the tourment fee part of it goes to her or somesuch? Thus the envoys get prize suport, she gets money suport, and hasbro can see how its done.

Would the items listed under 2) be up to HouseMouse/Sara to distribute ?Well, I am not sure how many Master Sets or any other product is involved other than the cool banner (I'll find a link to the pic), but Grungebob mentioned this was a remote possibility for larger events I'm assuming.
Like the HouseMouse bundle may be used at Gencon West in LA soon.
I think it would be up to the event organizers to get it from location to location, I am not sure, but I know it is not feasible to send it back to a central location (say, Sandra) in-between each event. I think she's in Southern CA, so it's easy to get it to Gencon SoCal.
And it may be able to be transported up to Central/Northern CA events, I'm not sure.
Anywhere else, unless it's a large gaming event that Sandra would want to advertise at, it probably wouldnt be viable for her to pay for shipping, due to the costs of around $50 I think GB mentioned.
That is all I know, but I figure that if we make a list of people that are interested, than we can take advantage of resources better, in any event.
Hopefully GB will post and give us more information on what is available and his thoughts.

I'm not sure what you mean by "What is available" Sandra sent 18 master sets to Indy. Those master sets are back at Sandra's place. If she wants to use those same Master sets for other events I think it would be great. I agree that the shipping should be covered by those wanting to use the sets etc.. But this is all conjecture and nobody has talked to Sandra about this at all.
