Just wondering if any of you have read much/any of Karl's work.

His Kane series is by far some of my favorite fantasy books I have ever read. How great a hero is he, well in the dragon magazine he was the first book character they ever made a D&D character out of ( yes before Conan, elric, or any of the other - that is how good the books are ).

He died young so doesn't have a lot of work out there, but it is all so worth reading.

I highly recommend getting all of his books, they are out of print so tough to find, I don't even have them, I reread my brothers evey few years. I will try and find a list of his work to post here.

I just read one of his books he did with David Drake for the first time called KILLER it was a great read ( SF and Fantasy mixed ), David is great at making things historically accurate, so the 2 together did a great job on the book.

Hope someelse finds out about one of my very favorite writter through this thread.

Interestingly enough, I thought you were talking about someone else. Specifically, I thought you were talking about the Wagner who wrote Flight of the Valkyries, one of my favorite pieces of classical music, and whose first name I do not know. Other favorites include War of 1812 and Night on Bald Mountain.

Yeah, I'm like a living cliche.

Hey Flight of the valkyries really would be HS related!

No just sharing some of the best fantasy I have ever read , mainly because they are old and out of print, but his main character Kane is the Man, just to fun read....

Toddrew, when I posted the 2nd one it then said there was 8 views then, and still no one else in the area.

You really want to check out the Kane seies if you can get them, some of them are whole books a few are short stories and I don't know which is better, he was a pretty twisted person so they are not the typical figure it out right away book, and the fighting parts are great, Kane rules!!!!!!!!!!!
