I played senero two.
had Tae. 2 squads of roman archers, 1 omercron snipers, 1 arrow gruts, 1 blade gruts.
oppenent had sgt drake, ice dragon, sentals, sir denrick, airborn and alistar.
pretty much rounds 1-2 had no action, I opened the door, let out the blade gruts (leaving one on the "door space" - the 3 went out, one to fight the dragon (sure why not?) and the other 2 to just stand in front of the door. They didnt last! :D
Most the game was sentals taking shots at the dragon. They only got 3 attack dice (vs 4) because of the dragons hight, but still took him out, I also moved out the snipers to move in the archers and took a mighty 6 roll to finnish him. The Sentalns didnt fair much better, the snipers took them down one by one, only one made it on top of the castle, destoryed one of my snipers, and then was shot by a roman in the head. He fell to his doooom. Tae laughed.
Pretty much it went down hill from there, Alaster and Sgt Drake were knocking at the door but its auto 2 defence ment most attacks didnt make any hit, the ice dragon had taken a shot, in total , the door only took 3 dammage from about 7 attacks! (insain) Sgt Drake finaly used his hookshot to get to the top, and was right next to the flag! He choped off a snipers head, and I thought it was game over, but- he attacked, could'nt take the flag down! Yes! Tae got a hit on him, Drake took take down some, Guilty came in, and I still had a roman archer next to him, drake didnt last too long, rolling badly as Guilty shot him several times. Tae flew down to put some hurt on Alister, but Alister took out Tae. Alister spent the last round knocking at the door. I still had a squad of 3 arrow grunts, 1 blade grunt, 3 archers, 1 guilty remianing, at the end guilty was comming down the ladder , I had plans on opening the door to let alister in, but the game was done.
I had prevously opened the door to fire out with my archers, then closed it. Not the nicest stragity but it works. (side note, you can open and close the door at will on your turn, this is kinda ... meh) Also - once figures are close enough to the castle you cant see them to shoot. The airborn wiped out my other squad of archers when they came in, but I had int so there were only 2 to deal with, other wise it might have been worse for me.
Best threats in the game were Sgt Drake - (since I could not shoot him) and Alister, just for his staying power. (he did a double move so had a dammage self inflicted)
Overall, I think the castle is pretty nicely balanced, that door is just hard to take out.
Winner: me and Tae. Yay! those 4 Sniper dice were messed up, I got 8 skulls, totaly destorying Sir Denrick. Boom he didnt even see it comming, talk about "Deadly shot"
