I didn't see another thread about this, so sorry, but I just got wave 5 at Target in MN and when I got home i noticed that two of my Deathstalkers were the same ( 2 of the all Soulborg head & 1 with the half head.)
Has any one found this?

Nope, I have 3 different sculpts. I only have one pack however.

I also had two door stat cards in my fortress set. Is this odd?

One of my Deathstalkers had his robotic leg painted completely black like his fur. Not quite as bad as two of the same figure in a set, but ya :?

Packaging errors like this aren't at all the norm, but we have had some folks complain that army cards were missing from their expansion, or the wrong cards were included with the set. So you feel lucky that you got two! Heh...

However, I think you're the first person here to discover two of the same figs in a set. That's just weird.

I guess now we have to keep an eye out for a member who comes on complaining that he has two of the Deathstalkers figs that you were missing, as well as his castle set missing the door stat card!

When that happens... well, you must hunt this member down and destroy him, because he is your doppleganger!!!

Thats the best kind of master set to get if you have multiples!

The only odd Deathstalkers pack I've seen was in Walmart. One of the wolves was loose in the package instead of in its place.

I know, I bought another at the same store but I didn't get the same result

It's really too bad that they didn't offer a Master Set Part 2. It would have all the terrain, none of the figures, and cost about half the price.

I agree. It's nice they package some terrain in the expansions, but come on, how much are 2-hex and 1-hex pieces really going to help? Even with all the expansion packs I have bought I barely notice a difference in terrain. The real pieces needed are water, 7-hex tiles, and 24-hex tiles. Would be nice if the large heroes came with one or two 7-hexe pieces. Wouldn't make a huge difference but it would add a little extra terrain and make those sets slightly more appealing. Still wouldn't be anything like an expansion of just MS terrain, but it would help a little.

Especially if the 7 hex pieces were snow or water.

It really suprised me when I found out the snow set didn't come with ANY 7-hex pieces. I mean heck, even the dinky little lava sets managed to pack a few of them inside, but the full sized snow terrain expansion couldn't?

This never bothered me, because one and two hex pieces can be used to make anything, whereas seven and larger pieces cannot. I'd much rather have tons of small bits than a bunch of large ones.

True enough, but 7 hex pieces make it much easier to cover large areas with. You lay down one piece and you are done, rather then connecting several smaller pieces. Not only that, If I have room to use a 7-hex piece or a 1- or 2-hex I always go with the 7-hexer. The bigger pieces are more stable when building maps I find.

I also seem to have PLENTY of 1 and 2-hex snow pieces since they are included in all the wave 5 expansions. That's why I would have liked some 7-hex pieces in the snow expansion. It's kind of ironic too because I wish the VW set had fewer 7-hex pieces and more 1 and 2-hexers. It would be nice if a future wave included some lava terrain.

I would much rather have larger numbers of hexes per piece. Tons of 1 and 2 hex pieces make building maps a longer process than it has to be.

I only dislike the 1-hex pieces. I build most of my details/fill gaps with 2 and 3-hex pieces. What I hate is using almost all my pieces to build a map and having a bunch of 1-hex pieces left over.

About the lava... how can you not have a bunch of 7 hexers left when you build with it? They didn't even give enough 1 and 2-hex pieces to fill the gaps between the larger ones. I can't seem to make anything creative with lava without having a bunch of 7-hex pieces left.

Wait.... when did this become a terrain discussion?

I have 6 sets of it.

I have 5 sets. That just means I have even more 7-hex pieces leftover when I'm done.

Thread jacking aside, I have a doppleganger I need to kill!

Booya!
Now I have a reason to get off the couch and stop watching Dora with the kids. Man I hate Dore...

Does that mean my doppleganger likes her?

I bought my one and only MS but it was missing the GLYPH with a lighting bolt as the picture...I guess I'd need to order from HAsbro...man that would suck if they charged me....

though it is still off topic

they shouldnt charge you, we once had a "Clue" bord game that came with 2 Colonial Mustards(sp?) and no professor plum

we called the company and they sent us a box with postage and had us send the whole game back and they sent a new box back

though if that is what they ask of you it may not be ideal in your situation depending on which master set you have, you may get the 2nd edition back if you currently have 1st edition...

hope that helps!
