Those kinds of prices are rare here. (Well at least for me anyway)

I was in a WalMart here in Rochester Minnesota yesterday looking for Wave 5 and saw Wave 1 for US $9.99. No Wave 5 but I found it at Target (my next stop on the search).

I was looking at heroscape for ages and ages thinking "that looks so cool I have to get that some day" but it was $80 and the booster packs were $30 so kept putting it off.
Two weeks ago, I see it again, stop to deliberate once more whether to buy it, and BAM it's down to 30 bucks! so I grab it and a couple of booster packs and wowee wow I'm so sold I could have bought it for $80 and been happy as hell with it. best game ever.

My question is, if it sold so poorly that the price went down so drastically, what are the chances we'll get the next wave in australia any time soon.

Well, you can always go the route of ordering it online.

80 usd or 80 euro's?

I know for awhile the UK/AUs ppl for some reason Heroscape stuff was way overpriced....

actually either way that's still way to much..

as the master set is around 40 USD in most parts of the states Ive been at and fiqure packs are around 10 each here(including wave 1)

cheers

There was a thread (forget which one) that said all distribution to Australia was going to cease due to the lack of interest .

So your best bet is to grab wave 1 and do some trading or order online.... :D

I found the thread where it says the distribution to Australia will be stopped because of poor interest.

Poor interest!!!!!!!!

How can you show any interest if it's not there to buy.

My interest is so poor that of the $1800.00Au I have spent on Heroscape one third has been freight. If it was more available locally I could have had $600.00 more worth of boosters. I day dream of wandering into a shop and finding HS boosters on the shelves.

Poor interest my A**!!!!!!

I dream of walking into a shop and seeing HS boosters too! The closest thing to that i will have is going to a convention in October where a gaming stall (hopefully) will be selling them!

Wow, being in the US, I get antsy and sometimes bent out of shape because I can't find a certain expansion pack... It looks to me like you guys have it worse out there trying to collect expansions for killer gaming...

I'd feel so deprived, but like it was stated earlier, I'd go the online route.

So Long as the two online retailers in Australia continue to carry the line it won't be so bad, but I really don't want to have to shell out the horrific amounts for overseas postage that have been mentioned!

I love Heroscape, but I can buy GW stuff 20 minutes from home!

While I'm writing in this thread, is anybody still looking for Master Sets or Wave 1 packs? I think I can still get some from my local Mr.Toys if you've missed out and don't have as store close to you.
