My wife watches a show on USA called P s y c h. I sometimes watch a bit of it and was just now guess what I saw?
Su-Bak-Na!
The figure was sitting on a chess board (wtf) in a missing 18 year-old's room in the scene right before the opening song sequence. Did anyone else happen to see it?
Is Heroscape now officially what kids are doing?

Did you see anything other than SBN? I had two kids running around like wild monkies and didn't get to really look at the kid's room after the close up of the Bone Dragon.

The show will rerun in two hours I think.
It's on USA and the scene in question happens during the first five minutes.

I actually spotted Charos first. I had to back it up to make sure I wasn't just dreaming it. As Jormi_Boced noted, DW8K was there as well, and with the scene paused you can see another fig tipped over in front of him, so that all you can see is the underside of a double base. Might have been Dund.

Wow. I am tired, as I missed them completely. Must get some sleep. I am still not sure if I care for the show, I only watch it because it follows Monk. When P s y c h is done I switch to the SciFi Channel for SG:1 and SG: Atlantis. I do know P s y c h will lose out to BSG as soon as it returns!
Just a note: Due to a programing feature with this board writting any word that starts with the letters P S Y (without the spaces) will receive an error. So when attempting to write the title of the show into your post use spaces between the letters.

wow thats a wacky error! I just tryed it! Creepy!
Anyway, it would be funny if the figures have the finger prints on them and help solve the crime, be even funnyer if it was some clue "Whats this figure from?" --- "heroscape" --- "I want to know all there is about this figure, it might be a clue!"
--- "It mind controls other figures!" --- "the kids telling us he was under the other guys control! I know where he is!" -- (find kid) "Thanks!" (kid)
"Sure , we couldnt have found you without... HEROSCAPE!"
"YAy! Heroscape saved my life! thanks heroscape!"

I notice that's the same error as when I tried to put "Perl" and "script" together. It's a rather bizarre list it has in there, eh?

The father's character played by Corbin Bernson is the best developed/acted character on the show. Gus (the sidekick) is a wet blanket and adds very little as do the entire police department cast. And the whole act of p s ychic powers is way too far over the top ...

So what happened that I missed in the second half of the show? Give me a spoiler someone.

Sulu's assitants P sychicman and the Magic Head discover the kid is kidnapped and determine him to be the blogger that can make or break a movie. They go to question their lead suspect the movie producer only to find he has been kidnapped also. They determine that the producer bribed the kid for good review on his blog and that's where the kid got the cash. The PA chick then gets kidnapped by the same personand, Sulu is upset because they got the wrong blueberries... Ooops, that's where I went to go make dinner, don't know what happened next.

I watched the episode Saturday night, love the show by the way. I was pretty suprised when I saw the HS figures. Not suprising though, was that the guy who owned them was an internet blogger, portrayed as a anti-social internet geek, and a "CON" nerd, as the show portrayed him and most of the other characters in this particular episode.
"He never leaves his room" and "you call it a "CON?" (referring to the comic convention that the kidnappings took place at) were the typical style of comments from the show.
When will society realize that every day, normal people can do the classic "nerd" type of stuff too? :D

That's kinda funny, that the producers of the show thought to get the character some miniatures that would more create a picture of this isloated person, and they chose something that no self-respecting overly-anti-social nerd would do - buy a popular mass-market, pre-painted game like Heroscape.
We have had enough gamedays and gatherings to know that Heroscape attracts a pretty well-adjusted group of people, who are fairly comfortabel in public.
You want isolated, tortured antisocial gamers, they shoulda given the guy WarHammer or D&D minis or Star Wars stuff.
And that's not me looking down on those groups - that's me observing the different groups and noting the differences.
It's also funny that the producers just took the easy way out and picked up the HS stuff at the local store on the way into the set one day, which further proves that character probably wouldn;t have something that easily obtainable out in the open.

it ist the same like one hour photoshop were the producer spend a few time on the neon evangelion action figure(the took that eoe bad angel, the actor said the figure is good)
Evangelion has been referenced in American media as well. In the 2002 movie "One Hour Photo" starring Robin Williams. Jake (Dylan Smith) begs his mother to buy him the "Eva" 05 action figure, and Williams' character later offers it to him for free. However, Jake rejects the offer after telling him that his parents do not allow him to accept gifts. Unusually, the series name Neon Genesis Evangelion and that the graphics on the blister card are left untouched; many movies and shows rename or repackage existing products with a generic name and graphic logo.

Coolest thing. I'm watching Psych, and at the beginning of Episode 8, Shawn vs. The Red Phantom, they're panning across this kid's bedroom. What's on the desk?
