Lately I have been itching for a good Pod Racing game, so I snagged some of the Micro Machine Pod Racers off of eBay, and have been trying to figure out some good rules, I have been sent to look at a good half a dozen sets so far, and they have all been good, just none have tickled my fancy, so I took a whack at my own.

They still need some work, but they are slowly getting there.

I'll check your rules, thanks for posting.
I remember a game published on the pages of french mag Ravage.
it was on one of the first issues. if you're interested, and if you can read french, I'll look for the mag to give some more infos.

Well I read English and Bad English, so take your pick. Anyways, I'd appreciate the glance, help me point out obvious holes.

I'm gonna have to try this out. :) My kid was just given a handful of old micro-machines. Perfect for this game. I'll let you know how it works if we can do it.

The only thing that I don't have there is the measuring widget. Which is pretty simple, it was going to be a hook shaped piece with a flat square back you place along the back of the racer, with a triangular portion on the side for making those 30 degree turns.

The game I was talking about is called Vector Race, and was published on the pages of Ravage magazine #3, March 2001.

Well, I did a test run of my game tonight (vs myself, so I didn't expect it to be amazing) it seems like it'll work better with a few more players. It really seems to need at least 4. I got 8 pod racers in the mail this morning, so I am pretty much ready to give it a good play during my local convention.
There are a few small alterations I need to make though, but it should be cool.
