Even though Toonami was only a shadow of its former self, I really wish they kept it going. It feels like part of my childhood died.

WAY ahead of ya, buddy.

Made a post about it, like, a week ago. Not a thread, mind you, but, still...

There are already rumors about a return or even a Toonami channel, but I don't think it'll be back. I'm just angry at how Cartoon Network mismanaged it. Yuyu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin on in the afternoon? Ben 10: Alien Force (which is a bad show anyway) at 10 pm Saturday night? Come on.

It's not coming back.

However, they DID have a Toonami channel in the UK. It failed miserably. They ended up with, like, soap operas airing on it.

But, for now, at least, it's dead. I'll be a man and admit I cried. Well, bawled. Like a small child.

Darth, good to see ya. DO you have a 360? Whats your gamertag?

Man, I am upset. I agree with you. It was a part of our lives. I think pretty much everyone our age has memories of its great shows. As much as i like Naruto, it killed toonami. It was a hit, so they were like "lets air two episodes. And since its such a great hit, lets make it the only watchable new episode show on toonami, so everyone has to watch it...."

Seriously, they mismanaged it horrible. In fact, imo, Cartoon network died a while ago. The shows that were on when I was young are sOooooo much better than the crap now. Miguzi lol wut? The crappy shovel ware(in vg terms) shows. Bah. Cartooning aint what it was.

Wow, that's really sad. I didn't watch it very often since there was not much on it to interest me, but I'm very disappointed that there is nothing in the wings waiting to be the next great anime action block to take its place.

I guess they'll start showing wrestling on The Cartoon Network next, like they've done on Sci Fi.

I found this petition through Google. I'm sure it's a futile effort, but it's worth trying. I would also suggest sending e-mails to Cartoon Network saying that you will boycott their shows and tell other people to do the same.

Here is the letter I sent to CN:

I'm sure you must be getting many of these e-mails, but here's another. Why did you get rid of Toonami? Toonami has been a major part of millions of people's childhoods and is almost exlusively responsible for anime's popularity in America. If the reason is that you lost viewers, take a step back and look what you were showing on Toonami at the end. Two filler episodes of Naruto, a non-anime kids show, and Samurai Jack. One good show will not carry a line-up. I just want you to know that thousands, maybe more, feel the same way as I do. From this point on, I will be boycotting Cartoon Network and advising everyone I know to do the same.

I'll help boycott Cartoon Network!

...And every other channel.... :p

Um, I'd help boycott... but I don't really think it'll matter. Sure, it was failing fast, but oh well. I liked it, I watched it, and then I went to bed. That's just how it goes. You watch something, and when it's over, oh well. Same concept for American Idol, only, I would really really really like them to cancel that.

When'd this happen anyway?

I've had my fill of television, if I want to watch something, I'll just get on the internet.
