Last night I saw their concert. It was awesome. All 3 bands were great. Journey has a different singer, and IMO he did great. Did anyone else see the concert? Whats your opinion on those bands.

Wow, are they all still going? I got into the late-70s Cheap Trick stuff a few years ago (decades late I know) and love it.

I always said, If I could only ever have one CD for the rest of my life, then Journey's Greatest Hits would be it. I love Journey. I hope the new singer did well in place of Steve Perry.

Cheap Trick - does one of my all-time favorite songs. I'm sure you know the one. ;)

Heart - I thought they had died off years and years ago. Is that one Heart chick (don't remember her name) still heavyset, or has she lost the weight? (I'm not trying to be insensitive, just want to know is all).

Sounds like it was a fun concert! :)

The singer is of Heart(Ann Wilson?) is still large, and so is her voice. Seriously, amazing singer. Her sister(the guitarist) is in her mid 50s, and is actually kinda hot, as gross as it sounds. Her body looks like shes 25 still. Weird, I know.

Sounds like a fun, quality concert!

Opinions?

Heart I could pass. I don't enjoy their music at all.
I do like the song Dreamboat Annie. Reminds me of a trip to Hawaii.

Journey, retro-wise I've come to enjoy their music a lot. Reminds me of my youth!

and Cheap Trick?
Too eerie - I was just tonight listening to Cheap Trick on my IPod while making homemade pizza and thinking how great they are !

I put them up there with The Who - great band with fun stage personas who write and perform rocking songs about quirky subject matter.

I really only like the first two albums.
He's a W-hore, Hello There, Mandocello, Speak Now..., Hot Love, Daddy Should've Stay in School, Big Eyes, ah, they're all excellent!!!!

Heart was amazing though. They sang a who song, and other great songs. They also sang Crazy on You, and Baracuda. They were on for almost an hour, as was Cheap Trick. They sang Surrender, and Dream Police, among others. The Guitarist left used a guitar with the Beatles on it, epic cool.

Journey was very good. My dad didnt like them, because Steve Perry is gone. He said they were just a cover band now. But the new singer sounded just like Steve, and had great charisma and stage presense. The whole concert was amazing.

The new lead singer of Journey (if its still the same guy) is Filipino and was actually discovered by Neal Schon on YouTube. He was in a Journey cover band.

This is the 3rd time a band has hired a singer from a cover band to replace their "original" singer.

Boston's new lead singer and Judas Priest's (before they brought Rob Halford back)

I thought Rob Halford had died!? :wtf:

Considering he is touring with Judas Priest now I think he made a recovery. In fact Taebelwalker saw them live the week before GenCon

Ok I am gonna go grab a Painkiller and Ram It Down my throat. Then I'll be Heading Out to the Highway cause I gotta One Shot at Gloryso I better be Delivering the Goods. Then I'm gonna stop at the candy store for a Jawbreaker. Then I'll be Hot Rockin all the way back home listening to my Parental Guidance labeled cd. Drive my car across someones Private Property till I get to my Turbo Lover. Hit her with the Rapid Fire and then I'm out of there like the Devil's Child just Riding on the Wind.

I knew it was a mistake to try and match wits with you.

(but, at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that when your computer shows I posted again, you had to have thought I had a witty comeback :neener:;))

If it is, I'll be Screaming for Vengeance. It would be Sin After Sin.
