Gen Con Heroscape Events Question

Greetings, all!

I'll be at Gen Con this year, and I was interested in joining in a HeroScape tournament (one where you can get the Agent, of course :D). Do these require pre-registration? And, either way, what point cost army do they use, generally? Any special rules (or anything else) I should be aware of?
