Here's another show that many of you probably have never seen. My girlfriend makes me watch a lot of her shows (Project Runway and such), but I am actually entertained by this one. The dancing floors me every time. The dance teams are taken out of their element and forced to do dance styles that they may not be familiar with. Last week was an 80's dance scene challenge where the crews had to make a dance to a famous 80's dance scene. There was a break dancing team that outperformed a team that bases everything they do off the 80's. It's just phenomenal how much athleticism truly is needed and dancing has received a whole lot more respect from me after viewing this show. The final episode is Thursday at about 9 Eastern on MTV.

That is a link of my favorite crew (break dance style) putting their spin on Footloose this past week. It's about 5 minutes, but the dancing ends 2 minutes in or so, the rest is the judges going into slow-mos. They are talented.

I watch this with my 7 year old daughter when they re-air it on Saturday/Sunday afternoons.

I am not into the music or that style of dance but some of those moves they make are insane.

I'm not big on the music either, but I definitely agree with you. A lot of the moves make me respect dance a lot more. This show really brought a cluster of different dance crews together and let them show America what dance is really all about these days and I like it. All the teams are based on different styles, but yet, they can all perform the same styles every week during the challenges.

I haven't seen the show, but I have seen some break dancing movies on youtube. Let me tell you, that stuff is incredible! You would need to be in top physical condition to do some of the moves, and just plain good to do the others.
