I know many people have speculated where Agent Carr came from. I have always called Carr Morpheus in our games.
But I was watching Matrix Reloaded, and this scene I thinks sums it up.
Go to the 43 second of this clip and I think you too.

As much as I'm tired of these kinds of posts, I kind of liked the video, and it makes a whole lot of sense. Honestly, I think that they definitely used Morpheus as inspiration for Agent Carr. The ranged attack (pistol), the Sword of Reckoning (his sword), and then the overall outfit that they chose completely match.

My brother came up with the name, "Reading Rainbow Morpheus" because he's kind of a cross between Morpheus and Geordi LaForge from Star Trek: TNG. LeVar Burton (who was the actor who played Geordi) also hosted a show called Reading Rainbow on PBS.

I'm not actually sure about Morpheus being the inspiration for Carr.
I'd sooner go with Shaft or Blade, don't you think? The gun, the sword, etc. Plus, Sam Jackson is in everything.

Well considering Agent Carr's Bio, about how he has Agents that work for him. I dont see how Blade would be that, and I dont know enough about Shaft to know.

Without a doubt, Morpheus. Matrix was the first thing I though of when I opened my first ROTV and saw Carr and the Krav. Great scene by the way.

Yeah I liked 2 and 3, unlike those who didn't.
I think they expected something totally revolutionary again, it is hard to top the original Matrix.

Cool find, but others may complain of wrong-place-posting.
