Although one of the most amazing single player campaign I've ever played does anyone else disdain the lackluster unbalanced pho-tactical, multi player mode?

I thought it was alright. I enjoyed COD3 multiplayer better.

I like it, but I'll admit there really isn't anything tactical about it.
Sure I play with Silenced Weapons (P90, M16, M14), with UAV Jammer but that's just to make it easier when I run in a full speed to surprise my enemy.
I also adjust my games to the group I'm playing. If I see a bunch of Jugger's pop up then I'll play my M16, if I get Hit with a Grenade Launcher, I'll use one in turn.
I've played RSV:2, HALO2, HALO3, Bad Company, GoW, and out of all of those CoD4 is my favorite with Bad Company coming in at a close second.

I love the CoD 4 multiplayer. While I admit there are no real "tactics" for playing, there are general strategies for each map for each game mode.

No, I LOVE it. I play it everytime I go to my friend's house.
I love the fact you choose your wepons and my friend is always a sniper. It is a little unbalanced but there are different tactics for each map, depending on your class. If your sniper, like my friend, you can't win in head on combat but he goes to a high point of the map, and snipes everybody. He's then very tough to kill, which is fun and challenging.
I think the classes are balanced, but are very different. Some modes I don't like, but the normal mode, where you try to get a certain number of kills if great.
