I think an interesting map would be a Great Wall of China made out of the castle walls and roads. I don't have the castle, so I can't do it, but I'm sure someone here can.

I once made a map with a one-line wall running through the middle with only the bridge to get through! But i prefer to play on fairly open fields!!!

I was thinking of that too - a great wall of china map. As soon as I get my castle sets (and a new camera), I will upload pics of it...

Agreed. I was thinking about something like that for my next map.

I was at a weekend getogether about 2 Saturdays ago when i came up w/ the same idea. I don't fully know how to integrate it but i think it would be pretty sweet.

Was the wall worth it? It would have been a huge undertaking to build. For it to actually be of any value, it would have had to be fully manned along it's entire length. I have read articles arguing both sides.

least they had a railing so any of the powerful warriors that had trouble walking on flat pavement, would have been ok. :/ Talk about being a ***** to walk to your post. By the time you got there, your shift would be over and you'd have to head back.

I don't think the ancient Chinese were too concerned about workers' rights, union rules or shifts TBH. "Leave your post and we'll execute you" being a touch more likely.

Ok, you asked for it so I gave it a shot. This wall is 2-3 MS, 2 Castles, and 2 RttFF. I took some liberties with my shots.

Who else but the Shaolin to guard the great republic of Ullar?

Those Samurai must find another way around...

...or just use some Hanzo Steel!

Can the Shaolin defend Ullar's honor? Fist vs Steel- You decide!

Ok enough fun, here are some logistical full shots. I have yet to put this in virtual/land/solidscape. I think it should be pretty easy to duplicate and the freeform should lend endless variations on this theme. Note- there is no true way to work the doors but I didn't care and who says you couldn't house rule and say they can open using a different space.

Oh man...that would be incredible...and definitely take up the entire table. I bet it would make for a great 4-6 player map also!

As for the door space thing, does anyone really take that seriously? Any space on the map can be used to open the door, provided you build it that way.

:reaper:

I was thinking about this the other day and realized, I don't know if you ever posted the plans for building this one? Sorry to resurrect, but this one stuck with me (kind of like a bad canker sore), and my son is still interested in playing this one.
