You're stuck on a desert island with nothing but the land to survive off of, yet you miraculously stumble upon a boombox/ipod with all the music from any one genre of which you could possibly think. Which genre do you hope to find?
EDIT: Sorry, there are a few I couldn't fit into the poll - even using "Other" took up room I needed. So, if what you're looking for isn't on the list, I'd suggest choosing the closest option (Grunge: Rock/Alternative/Metal; Modern Club: Rap/Hip-Hop; Rave Club: Electronic/Techno; etc.) or simply not answering the poll but telling us in a post. Thanks, everyone. :D

Industrial Grunge.
It would help remind me of the hopelessness of my situation since I hate eating plants and small rodents.

Indie Pop Rock. Heck yes.

Numetal. I know how hated this genre was (by metal purists) but I grew up with it.
Deftones, Korn, Slipknot, Factory 81, RATM, Bizkit's and Hed (PE)'s 1st albums (to hell with this 2 bands' sophomore to present albums)...and etc.

My 2nd and 3rd choices are Industrial and Hip-Hop.

Oh wait...there's a poll. Didn't see that when I posted. I voted for Rock.

I like a lot of different types of music, but if I could only listen to one of the types you listed forever, it would definitely be classical. So much variety contained in there, and no lyrics to get sick of. Of course, it might get a little lonely not hearing anyone's voice...

I grew up on hardcore/punk(Agnostic Front/ Bad Brains), oldschool metal(Priest/Maiden). Nowdays it's about the same, except I listen to more traditional Irish and alot of Oi!

Classical and soundtrack are very different, usually. Just so you know. ;)
But those two are my favorites, so I voted that. You made it simple. :p

Metal, metal, and METAL! In your choice of meltdown, mayhem or madness. (I'd prefer all of the above!)

Preferablly Metal or some form of rock. Just for the love of God....
NO CHRISTIAN ROCK!
2nd choice would be pop; preferablly from the 80's and 90's.

Uhh... soft rock, I guess. I dislike music where guitars and drums and all that are the focus. Lyric-less songs annoy me. I like big orchestras and such - THOSE are nice to listen to - but in general, purely instrumental songs are extremely boring.
Except for piano... piano and orchestra, those are the only instrumental things I really like.

I voted for the Religious/Devotional. Christian Punk/Hardcore with a little of modern praise and worship music sprinkled in.

Rock/Alternative/Metal
Electronic/Techno
Classical/Soundtrack
Depending on my mood. The rest I could care less about for the most part.

Alternative, and new rock. Right now I'm listening to the Shins, for example. By "new rock" I mean bands like the Kaiser Chiefs, Plain White T's, and OK GO. I'm really not into much popular stuff (I just named those bands because I think someone might have heard of them, that's as mainstream as I get) that much. I guess I just like more...mellow stuff. With the exception of the Arctic Mokeys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A2XBoxtcUA), who are possibly my favorite band.

Well, I think you could argue that Jazz is just as close to most of today's soundtrack music as classical is, but I put my vote under the soundtrack label all the same.

I like a lot of classic rock and metal like Black Sabbath, Molly Hatchet, Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, and Van Halen.

Ok, metal is the closest thing, but I am not voting yet. I listen to Core music. Such as Deathcore, Metalcore and Grindcore. Examples:
Bring me the Horizon
Chiodos
August Burns Red
Slipknot
Disturbed
MegaDeth
DethKlok
Suicide Silence
The Devil Wears Prada
A little different music, but hopefully I'm not alone.
