An updated version of the map I've been using in the UK for participation games.

As they're for public demo, I wanted to (i) use only MS terrain (there's 4 complete MSs, plus 1,2 or 3 of Waves 1-4, depending on how many of each I actually have), and (ii) needs to deliver a varied - but shortish - game.

I've not actually tried the map "live" yet (though I've built 2/3rds of it upstairs in the games room), but it's quite similar to one I've used a few times now.

My only real worry is that the start zones aren't big enough - but as it already fills a 4' wide table, I haven't got the space for anything bigger (let alone having enough hexes - I think this uses every one I have, except for a couple of big rock sheets!)

The 7-hex lava pieces at levels 10 and 20 could be replaced with 7-hex snow tiles (or ommitted completely) - their only purpose is to help count levels for the 2-dice height advantage.

And shoot me if this is in the wrong place or format - I didn't really understand the rules, despite reading them twice.

<bums - for some reason I'm getting an error uploading the file - if anyone can PM me with help, I'd be grateful>

I can't ever get that to work either. Click on "Downloads" at the top-right and register for the downloads section. You can then upload a map and put a link to it here... although you have to wait for approval which can take a day or so.

Grand - thanks for the help. With a bit of luck, I've done it right this time and I'll be able to edit this thread in a day or so once the upload is approved.

At that point, someone will say "hey, that's just like so-and-so's map", and I'll tear my hair out!

Actually, i have already made a map that was for the same amount of players as this, and it was somewhat hexagonal. The middle is more rectangular-ish. Except, my map only uses 1 MS and of each wave up to wave 3. Its definatly not as high as yours, and probably not as big, but it is a bit hexagon-ish. Unfortunatly, i dont know how to put up the instructions and my computer cant recieve digital photos straight from the camera. I have to put it on the super slow labtop, then e-mail it to myself, then upload it into photobucket before I can put it on here. I had that planned a good several months ago, but never got around to it. Not trying to make you pull your hair out, but just saying I may have a smaller, shorter map somewhat like what you have. Lemme see the pics and ill tell you.

I really like this map/scenario.

I love (and kinda collect) hexagonal bloodbath maps. :D

I like the added rules on this one, and the spiral staircase (interesting to see one not use Teamski's design).

I'd love to play on something like this at the next NorCal GameDay.

Some real-life pics (I *think* I built it right - after spending so long on the PC building and rebuilding it, I went upstairs and built *most* of it from memory!).

Some left-over bits. I *must* have done something wrong, as according the the PC I'd used almost every tile that I own!

I cant see the pictures. However, i did check out the downloads and it looks like a really cool map. Its nothing like what I have made. Good job making it. Bet it took a long time to do it too.
