I am debating on what wave 5 squads I'd like to get doubles of. I'm sure I'll get doubles of everything eventually, but which ones have priority?

You should add an option for all of the above. :D
That's the option I would pick.

I picked the Warriors of Ashra. I'll be getting 3x of those. Of course, that means I'll be getting 3x of the Soulborgs that come with them. Honestly I'll be getting 3x of all of them immediately, so my true answer isn't up there. Really, this poll only has 2 choices :D

Ya, you need to put allof the above up their, I would like to get the warriors of ashra, but they just look sooooo stupid for elves, they definetly should have been amazons.

Could someone explain to me how those stupid rats are so good? theyve got on stinkin attack, sure there fast, but being fast means nothing if you dont have any attack power.

With 1 attack and 4 defense, I don't they're not meant to be used as an offensive hammer.
Much like the gladiatrons, I can see them being used as a set-up unit to quickly bog down enemy movement and stay engaged for a decent amount of time.
Scatter, Disengage, Climb, and high move will allow them to get where you want them to be very easily. Deny Syv and Dead Eye the high ground, surround Krug and Valguard, etc...
4 def means they won't get instantly squashed either. And at 10 points apiece they're cheap as hell.
They might not ever kill anything but that's not their job.

I will probably get 2 of the Blastatrons and Robodogs (maybe 3). I will get 3-4 of the Elves and Roborats.

Probably one of the hardest things to accomplish in this game is advancing on ranged units. With the rats' great movement capabilities and high numbers, you can use them to rush ranged squads and get them engaged. With 4 DEF they should be able to take a decent amount of fire (especially if you have 12-16 of them) before they go down. Meanwhile, with the enemy's ranged troops engaged, you're free to bring in your melee troops without fear of losing them to a ranged assault.
At 40 points, they're not really meant to take anything down. Their job is simply to lock up the opponent until to give Braxas or another heavy hitter time to do their job.

Well, I have two ordered from House Mouse already. I'll probably want at least one more of the rats (Warmadillos is so much better)

Gonna have to go with blastatrons. I absolutely cannot wait to try the blastatron/gladiatron army.
As a side note, polls cannot be edited because it could allow you to tamper with the results by changing names of things.

I agree with you totally. I think that slowing down the advance of your opponent is their primary function, and with "scatter" it will make them harder to target as a group. On top of that "disengage" will make them last that much longer.

All of the above...I just wish HMG would let us order wave five by the pack instead of just a whole set. But it's all good, I should save a little money before filling up my commons anyway. By the time I find them in stores I'll get them.

I ordered the Thora's Vengeance right after Sandra made them available, but I added 2 castles to the order a couple weeks ago, so I still have some waiting to do.

Yea, sorry everyone for not putting "all of the above" in the poll. I could have simply just put two options since there are only two common boosters, but o well. I mainly wanted to see if people had to pick the top squad, what would it be?

I am most interested in the warriors of ashra, thier special kicks some major but. However the blastatrons are a close second. I really am not impressed with the other commons but I can see thier usefulness.

I won't likely get any doubles, but if I could I would pick the warriors of Ashra, just because their abilities and they go well with an elf-themed army

You should combine the ones in packs together in the poll, because if you get reavers then you get ashras as well.

I would certainly prefer a necromance to a rehash of the same subject in a new thread. Let the guy necro if he wants to.

I'm okay with necroing a thread too!
Interesting to see some of these old subjects.
For the record I have 9 sets of reavers/ashras.
I fell pretty hard for the roborodents once I saw their stats.

Has anyone ehard of this game coming out called Heroscape? Apparently you can build maps out of these 3D hexes and then have battles with wariors from different places and times. I saw pics of the game and they have a dragon, some soldiers, some alien looking guys, vikings, etc..
It looks interesting but I don't think it will catch on.
Will anyone buy it when it comes out?

They are not WAVE 5 either.
Oh I was talking to Yaweh and he says he is going to crerate this entire universe and inhabit it with different creatures and trees and plants and stuff. He is gonna try and get it all done in 7 days but i told him he is crazy. I told him if he gets it done in 7 days he can rest on the next day. Do you think he can do it?

I get a kick out of everyone complaining, because guaranteed if someone started a new thread someone would have posted 'This has been covered *link to this thread* before. SEARCH.' and complained about that.
Newbs can't win. (And I actually am interested in this thread...purely from the Blastatron issue of having to be paired with Gladitrons to be useful...)
