That is good information. It would be helpful if you could include the location you are in to assist other fans. I'm not "somewhere over the rainbow" often enough to be able to look there. ;)

Well it was in Cape Girardeau, MO which is about 2 hours south of St. Louis. But I am pretty sure that they do this at all goodwill locations. Go ninthdoc go run to your goodwill and let the great heroscape chase begin.

I have learned a few things:

1) Goodwill actually buys Target's salvage at about 5%-10% of retail. So don't expect it to be $1 per pack. But a week after something is clearanced out, check your Goodwill daily.

2) Goodwill stores vary around the country. The best I have ever been to is the one on Rt 73 in Maple Shade, NJ though I never saw Scape there)

The worst is here in MI. The one in Lowell had SoTM, but they were selling it for $25 - and it had been opened. A lot of the stuff in the the Goodwills in the Grand Rapids area is more expensive than Walmart, Target or Meijer.

TX and OH Goodwills were ok, not remarkable though.

Goodwill actually pays next to nothing for a salvage pallet. It's mainly a lot of broken merch and stuff from the lost and found. Clearance will find it's way onto a salvage pallet as well.

I meant the clearance, which at some stores in written off and labeled "salvage" - even if it was not broken or damaged.

Had a conversation with a Goodwill manager when I learned this.

Never thought of checking Goodwill. Looks like I will have another stop on my Heroscape Route.

Target - Check
WalMart - Check
TRU - Check
Fry's Marketplace - Check
Goodwill - Check

Anywhere else I am missing??

I heard a rumor from another gamer that Fry's electronics carries HS from time to time. Have not checked it out myself, but this guy plays and has seen it there, so I think it is good. Let me know if anyone else has seen it there.

There's another goodwill store on Route 18 South in East Brunswick, NJ, where I've found alot of stuff on clearence but never Heroscape. Now I may need to check there myself in the future.

Well, my local MI Goodwill redeemed itself a little bit today. Found a copy of Hero Quest in good shape. I'm not done checking the inventory, but it appears to have the Kellar's Keep expansion inside.

Not bad for 99 cents.

I checked my local ValueVillage for Heroscape on the weekend. No luck on Heroscape but I did pick up an old Parker Brother's board game I used to love playing with the family as a kid - Billionaire. Except for the worn box, the insides are intact and just like new! I played it with the kids and my wife and it was a hit :D

LOL I'd done the same when I found an intact copy of Clue the VCR Game.
