Hey,
Here are some questions about Armies of Arcana:
1: how complex is it?
2: how much does a good armie cost, and
3: Could I get a HS to AoA comparison picture?

I went to their website to see what they were all about. Before I could really learn anything, my eye fell on this line: "Painting figures and making terrain are all part of the fun of miniature wargaming." So after a brief burst of laughter, I just headed elsewhere.
...
I guess I'm not much help either.

The standard AoA game is a rank-and-file (most units move in blocks) fantasy game that can either be played using 15mm or 25-28mm figures. Each unit (usually 10 or more figures) is defined by a small group of stats including Move, Armor, Magic Save, Morale and attack/weapon options (ranged and/or melee). The game is d6 based with the lower the number representing a better roll. Ranges (movement, weapons fire, etc.) are measured in inches using a tape measure. Unlike some games (I'm looking at you WFB) heroes are important for Morale but they don't overshadow troops in combat since combat resolution involves not only wounds inflicted but how many ranks of figures are left in each unit at the end of a turn along with Standards and some other modifiers.
AoA is more complicated than Heroscape but not difficult to learn. Most of the figures used in the game require some assembly and/or painting. The painting is optional but it adds a lot to the game experience to look out on a table full of painted miniatures especially when you put time and effort into painting your figures.
The AoA rulebook includes several different armies to use but the author includes rules for creating your own figures/armies and he has several examples of official and fan-created armies on his website.
I haven't played in a while but my favorite army was the Orks!! Who else would ride giant scorpions into battle!!
