Just got a call from jcb231 from Gencon - no wave 5 stats but he has seen the wave 6 figures! He took some pictures, but the figures were in a display bubble, so they didn't turn out too well, but he'll post those when he gets a chance.

Anyway, here's the teaser:

Also he saw the next Toys 'r' Us exclusive (I know, groan, groan) - not the generals themselves, but their flagbearers:

Not sure if they are all packaged together or not, but each figure comes with a 20-sider in the general's colors (reddish for utgar, greenish for ullar, etc.)

That event was a complete disaster for the most part, except for the part where the Toys R US manager gave me practically every bit of unused material for the event a week later! :headbang:

Luckily we're spread out pretty well across a metro area or 6.5 million people. There are TONS of TRUs around and I don't recall anyone having an issue. So come on down!

That is strange, we've typically had stats before a wave hit stores. It's not like them to keep us in the dark so long. But I'm pretty confident we'll have stats by the end of the day.

The purple headdress kyrie I bet is for Einar and she's the Durnipia mentioned in Valguard's bio. Durnipia is the person who grafted the lizard arm onto Valguard.

Pure speculation on my part, but that's my guess.

Character Bio

Born in blood and raised on war, the vicious battle leader of the Dreadguls was recued and brought to Valhalla by Einar to serve in his quest for control of the wellsprings. On Earth, Valguard fought alongside his father Ulrick, raiding and pillaging with the terrifying Dreadguls. When Finn's castle was under seige, his brother Thorgrim challenged Valguard in single combat. Thorgrim found Valguard to be too fierce of an opponent, and it was only when a tumbling boulder pinned and crushed Valguard's shield arm that Thorgrim could escape. Einar transported the injured warlord to Valhalla, and Ulrick, thinking his son dead, began his campaign to eradicate the Tarn Vikings and their leaders, Thorgrim and Finn.

It was on Valhalla that Valguard had the alien lizard arm magically attached by Durnipia, to replace his lost arm. The arm gives Valguard superhuman stamina and a lust for blood in battle.

Craig had replied to me one time (around the release of Wave 2) that we would definitely be getting more samurai and he certainly was not kidding around.

I am shocked that there is no news of Pirate figures, undead or otherwise. With the popularity of the Disney films, I thought they would almost be mandatory. I guess they are waiting for the 3rd film to come out?

Then if a x to x is rolled, insert some special effect, like plus 1 attack or defense, improved initiative, maybe something different for each general. Or maybe just improved stats for all those general specific units adjacent to them.

Um... more on the units... Samurai bowmen I'm really excited about. I already love archers, and samurai. So it's a win win combo. Zombies will be cool too, but I wonder if they'll take a different approach then the whole rotten skin hanging off a slumped over pile of bones look. Something that would look cool with Sudema would be cool, maybe more mummy like. New Einar kyries has definately got me excited too, it will be his first non-human unit. Yeah, one per badge, and they actually clip your badge so no one each day (I have two, though cuz my awesome wife is with me).

BTW, They have wave 6 here. I didn't get any pictures cuz hahnarama was taking a bunch.

They have these sweet lookin flag-bearers that have one for each faction, and they come with custom dice and they give you bonuses when using an army made of only one faction.

Definately looks like a Gimli style Dwarf. Plus, Ghosts or wraiths and some armored orcs LOTR style.

The zombie sculpts are repeated. There are only 3 of them and one has a club.

It looks like another Elf archer next to Kee Mo Shi, but it is hard to tell.

Either there's going to be six zombies in one pack, or something's missing. You've got the hero pack and three others, right? But there's only five squads - ghosts, Samurai archers, kyrie, zombies & orcses.

Good eye Finrod! Six zombies on one pack would be cool. Easy to amass really large quantities. And we know MASS quantities of zombies are a necessity. For everyone.

EDIT: On the other hand, they do seem to be two identical squads of 3 zombies. Is there another group in the making that wasn't ready yet?
