Packing my backpack for gencon...

I'm packing a back pack for gencon that has two small boxes for carrying my mechwarrior and heroscape armies with some room for any small breakable things I might buy, pair of scissors, modeling knife, Glue(maybe), pens, pencils, full size spiral note book, small size spirl note book, dice bag, rule, tissues, nutri-grain bars, grainola bars, calculator, and a sandwich(or two). Pack also has a detachable bag I filled with order tokens, infantry ring, dice, and a ruler.

Should be room enough left to stick things I buy during the day.


Anything I'm missing?

Darkspade, how are you traveling to Gencon? I'm bringing a lot more than a backpack, including a duffel rolled up inside my suitcase so I can toss things in there and check it as a second bag when I fly back.

It sounds like this backpack is for when you're walking around the con, is that correct?

I'll second the digital camera and water bottle if that is what this backpack is for, otherwise I have more suggestions.

Yeah, it's for just walking around the con.

Sadly I've yet to get on the digital camera bandwagan, so it's plan old film for me. I'd ask to borrow one of my sister's cameras, but since she using them for work, i'd probably end up with one too crappy to bother with.

Didn't mention the water bottle since it may be too heavy to hang on the pack. It does have it's own shoulder strap though, so i will have one. Energy drinks are out. I've never found one without a god awful aftertaste. :puke:

Can't take the cat. Guy I'm rooming with is allergic. As it is, the stuff I'm taking with me probably has enough cat hair to bug him. (ya know, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/DrkSpde/Mjolnir.gif should be a smily. :D )



I'm also bringing with me, my Liao and merc mechwarrior pieces, a yet unknown selection of heroscape stuff, couple extra socks and shirts, two pillows, a sleeping bag, and enough over-the-counter drugs to hopefully deal with anything that may come up(based on the last 6 days, I'll need it).

thinking about bringing some non collectable card games along, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get a chance to play them.
