I dunno. It's not that huge. You or I could sell a HUGE lot Teamski. ;)

The BIN price is right on target for what the seller paid for it though.

what was the bin price on that?
someone bid on it..
roughly 500ish retail would be my guess on it, w/i going through and actually pricing out everything.

would be a really nice setup though for someone who wants just about everything...

cheers

Wow, $50 parcel post shipping charge.
For me, by the time I figure out I like the game enough for all that, I've already bought a bunch of these things and don't need that many more (lava, uniques).

It does seem like a good bit of product and the price could be great even with the $50 shipping. It will be interesting to see what this one gets to.

Like the man said, by the time you realize you want this much stuff, you probably already have most of it. I wonder if this guy would do better to sell piecemeal?

markwars
August 7th, 2006, 10:59 AM
The original BIN was $650.

Should have split the terrain and units into two different auctions.

I dont know how to do it myself but it would be cool if everyone posting and using these forums .(i dont post often but i read the forums everyday) could all pool together and win this for a reasonable bid and split the cost, then use the pieces in contest and such hosted on this site...

just a thought,

or I could try to win it myself

I can also vouch for the prodigious amount of hexes owned by ninthdoc.

Refresh my memory, skyknight. Most of the big collections I remember were discussed at HQ.com. I'm always interested in hearing about other people with the same levels of obsession.

16 master sets 8 Eovs, 5 RTTFF, 5 VW and at least two of every squad some more, 4 tundra and soon 4 castle with another four in a bout a month

You blow me away with that many master sets!

Here's what I've got opened up for actual gaming purposes....

5 Master Sets v. 1
3 Master Sets v. 2 w/ EOVs
10 RttFF
6 HLD
4 Tundra (with 2 more on the way)
2 of each unique figure
4 of each common figure
+6 extra Orc packs

And then I have my display set...it's one complete set of unopened MIMP sets. It also includes one of the Toys R Us displays and a large poster I got at the TRU event.

I am slowly pickin up common figures, that is why i am eyeballing this auction very closely. I will hit it in the last few minutes if it holds at a decent price. There is also another decent one that is kinda hidden, I would post it but..... I want it

I have 3 of each common.....I've thought about 4 but somewhere inside of me the OCD would want a 4th unique. Is it that much cooler to have 12 or 15 marro drones moving as opposed to 9 (total drones - I realize the special will max out at 9 of them).

Aww, I leave a few months and everyone forgets about my humble collection. Hmm, lets see... this will be a good refresher for me too :P

10 MS (all sparkly water, to my knowledge)
3 EoV MS

14 RttFF
8 VW
10 TT (coming tomorrow, oh joy!)

3 Orm's
3 RV

31 Wave 1 Sets
27 Wave 2 Sets
26 Wave 3 Sets
23 Wave 4 Sets (most ordered last week)

1 Swog Rider
1 squad of Vipers
1 squad of Drones
42 extra sparkly tiles

I don't buy any set amount of commons like some people do, I get em based on their point cost, how I imagine them fitting in the HS world, and how much I like the sculpts/abilities. Also, I keep 2 complete sets MIP.. why? I dunno. What was this thread about again? Oh ya.. the eBay auction. Definetly would be a good way to pick up a crap load of stuff for much less then MSRP. :D

BIN= Buy it Now for those that didn't know what the acronym was.

Seems like there are a few of these popping up recently. Seems odd to me, but then again, I made sure I could afford the game when I bought it. I can imagine that there are people who got excited with the buying and lost track of their finances.

I hope they get a good price for it. Sorry Skynight, I just feel a little bad for the person. Here's hoping they got as much as possible on clearance and buy one get one free sales.

Between Chameleon's MS total (where is he btw?) and your common total, I have to bow down to both of you. That is truly amazing. Have you ever had a battle with 31 sets of Orcs?

I wish I had 31 orc sets, but alas, no. Could you imagine that many on a board? Or the cost if you bought 31 of each expansion in a wave?? That would be over a thousand bucks per wave if all were bought at $10. Heck, even if you figured in a BOGO sale that's still well over 600. I am not quite up to that level of insanety..yet

What I meant was i have 31 wave 1 sets total (10 Orcs, 10 Snipers/Vipers, 8 Romans, and 3 Heros). The same goes for wave 2, 3 and 4, that is all 4 of the sets combined for each wave. I never buy a set amount of commons when I am buying the expansions unless they are uniques, in which case I get three.

I find it odd that someone would pay more for a pack of squads figures on e-bay than they would if they just went to Hasbro.com and bought them. I think shipping from Hasbro is like $4 something while it's $5 on e-bay, so you aren't saving shipping costs on e-bay, plus the BIN price is like $15. Seems like a hassle for something unless you can sneak away by being the winning bidder at $8 or something.

I really wish I could get this lot. I really don't need the unigues but I could do with some more RTTFF, and some of those squads.

I can never find wave 3 :(

So you have 10 orc packs for a total of 40 arrow gruts and 40 blade gruts or do you just have 10 gruts of each? Btw, welcome back to the boards, glad to see I wasn't the only one who took a leave of absence.

I have 10 sets of orc expansions for a total of 40 grut warriors and 30 grut archers. I know a lot of people buy a fixed 3 or 4 of each common but I mix it up each wave based on a number of factors. The only thing I keep static when buying a new wave is the 3 unique heros/squads. The commons I buy varying amounts of, like the orcs i bought 10 sets of while I only bought 8 roman sets. The numbers I listed were total amounts of expansions I have bought per wave (all 4 different sets combined for the totals).

Nice to see you Thor. You were one of the folks that I definitely remember from the HQ days. AND you had one of the sweetest avatars ever! I will always remember you because your love for the Orcs is as great as mine. 8)
