Seems of late there has been alot more activiy on the boards than ususal (what I'm used too anyway). Lately when I come back there are 10+ new responses in a particular thread when it's usually only 2 or 3.

Is this some sort of post-holiday rampage with everyone having new stuff (and new players) and therefore playing more often, or maybe the anticipation (or delay) of the next release is simply getting to be too much for everyone?

Or maybe just an aberration?

Well, I probably would not have found this site if my wife didn't get me Master Set 1 & 2 for Christmas.

I have that effect on places. Seems every time I go shopping it happens. I find the HS section and have just started digging through boosters when suddenly 3 people want a copy of the Monopoly game right above it. It just makes sense that it would happen here as well.

Like everything else in life it goes through phases. Sometimes its up and other times its down. with all the holidays and crazy year end deals people are celebrating with more scape so it would just go to show that more people would spend more time at the site. and we know just as soon as we have a release date on the next set it will spike again with a lot of activity. If we do not hear soemthing soon it will dwindle again. It is just the natuarl cycle of these type of things.

January is the time each year that there is rampant speculation because it is just before Toy Fair and so long after Gen Con. And rampant speculation generates a lot of posting. But if you think things are busy now just wait until Toy Fair.

Its the end of heroscapers.com. I heard a dutch internet provider say that the DNS servers were no longer stocking the heroscapers.com internet address, and google and yahoo had it on clearence.

Were you posting in late august/early september? News, Battle Reports, Competitive Armies, General, were all insanely active at that time.
