I just noticed the DVD set being release today (8/1/06) and was just wondering if anyone has any comments on the show? Looks pretty cool from the stuff I've seen but I've been burned before by interesting artwork and lame storylines. :D

Looks interesting but I haven't heard of it. I'll see if any of my movie buddies have heard anything about it, :)

I was thinking of picking this up also. I read about it on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0451002/). It currently has a rating of 8.3, however this is with only 69 votes. Without a couple thousand votes this usually indicates a fan base vote. I would expect this rating to change drastically later this week upon the wider release and viewing ...

and do a search on them
they've got some of the episodes up on it..though the dvd is supposedly to be better..

parts I saw of it looked pretty decent though,
screwy amazon lists it up at 50..with their price of 35.00,
since the website months ago listed it up at 35 as it was..

Best Buy has it listed for 34.99. I've read the comments on Amazon and they seem positive. Still checking around the net as time permits.

I saw the $35 price tag and gave it a pass until further reviews. I just don't see spending that much on something I simply have curiosity about ...

Maybe I'll watch some more of the episodes first. All episodes are available at the link I gave above. They are different than the DVD as the DVD utilizes voice actors.

I've watched the first 4 chapters on the website. They really pull you in. The artwork is so-so, but I like how the stuff is put together. The audio, while not polished like a hollywood production might be, is a nice touch. It is essentially reading a graphic novel with a soundtrack (on the website at least). There are times I would get so into it that I would forget to read a few lines, so the DVD version might be the way to go. I'll go back and check out some more.

I've seen some of it way back when and from my understanding it was flash animation. It was pretty much pictures with sounds and some movement. I remember a lot of people really enjoyed the story. Personally I wouldn't spend too much for it, but then again the DVD could be quite different then the original Flash animations.
