We played round robin 2vs2 on Forsaken Waters and Wolf Swamp Road. My first battle was waged on Wolf Swamp Road against Luke who brought an army of:

Knights x1
Sir Denrick x1
Nilfheim x1
Guilty x1

My army was:

Roman Legionaires x3
Me Burq Sa x1
Marcus x1
Ne Gok Sax1

This looked to be an interesting match. The knights and the Romans are both fairly brutal melee squads and neither of us had a lot of range. He had Nilfheim's Ice shards and Guilty's colts vs. Me Burq Sa's stare and rifle. I had the upper hand in the strength of numbers though.

The first few turns I bonded with Me Burq Sa and moved my Legionnaires to the middle while Me Burq Sa took the high ground and started taking pot shots.

He took his first few turns to move his whole army forward.

The knights and Romans crashed in the middle with the Romans getting the early upperhand with the help of Me Burq Sa's rifle, but soon Nilfheim was issuing bursts of icy breath across the battlefield and destroying the Romans. The remaining Romans from the first wave moved back to join the ranks of the next wave while Nilfheim turned her attention to Me Burq Sa. As ice shards dropped around the Marro Warlord, Me Burq Sa took out Guilty during his flee from the ice dragon, but soon the icy breath overtook the Marro warlorld.

The second wave of Romans was ready to advance on the icy dragon and remaining knights led by Sir Denrick. The dragon was engaged and began to fear the dangerous mind shackling abilities of the mighty Marro Warlord Ne Gok Sa, and focused his attack on Ne Gok Sa rather than spray his icy breath across the field. With the fear of becoming mind shackled distracting Nilfheim, the Romans were able to take some good shots at the icy dragon and Sir Denrick.

Sir Denrick was dispatched which allowed my whole army to concentrate on the icy devil in order to finally slay it. Several Romans fell and Ne Gok Sa suffered from the battle, but the might dragon was finnally felled, and my army was able to easily dispatch the last knight.

My second game was vs. my dad on Forsaken Waters. He brought his orcs and beasts to the table:

Swog Rider x2
Grut Archers x2
Mimring x1
Krug x1

I played the same army as before. The Romans and Me Burq Sa took off down the field with Me Burq Sa getting to the high ground. They met Mimring in the middle and some archers made their way out to the edge of their range and started firing arrows into the fray.

Mimring had very poor defense, and was dispatched quite easily by my Romans. I then assaulted with a second wave of Romans on the other side of the battlefield while Me Burq Sa took more shots at the orc archers.

Krug then stormed towards Mimring and the remaining Romans on that side of the field and laid waste to them, so the second wave of Romans moved on Krug with Ne Gok Sa bringing the Mind Shackle. Krug would join me or die. Well, he died. After a hard battle, Krug fell and my Romans were free to march on the remaining archers and swogs. They took out a couple more Romans during the charge, but it was just their last desperate action before their demise.

My last battle was against my sister Katie on Forsaken Waters. She was playing with:

Major Q-9 x1
Nilfheim x1
Guilty McCreech x1

This looked to be an interesting match as she only had 3 figures, but two of them were super beasts.

I moved my wave of Romans with Me Burq Sa down the field while she advanced with Major Q-9. He began firing with his Queglix gun, but it didn't cause a ton of damage. My Romans were able to swarm the large mechanical behemoth and take it out of commission.

Katie brought her icy dragon forth next. This beast put up more of a fight than the mechanical behemoth that came before it, but it was still not enough to crush the horde of Roman Legionnaires and it fell as well leaving only the lone cowboy Guilty to suffer the damage of my remaining forces.

Good job Jormi. Took out those three fairly different armies. Sounds like the key was not being afraid to charge in with the romans and take a few casualties.

You think things might have gone differently on the second game if your dad had kept Mimring farther away?

It is possible, but I think I could keep shooting and or engage with Me Burq Sa enough to take Mimring down. Also, as long as I kept my Romans in a diamond formation they were not too susceptible to the flames.

This was a game between Codeman and Luke. Denrick vs. the Orcs.
