Ok so as some of you know I am vacationing in california. And yesterday, I went to LA harbor. (Where everything in the world gets shipped over seas. I was on a tour when I noticed a poster. It said every ship's inventorys and the time they will be arriving and depaturing. As I was looking I saw, yup you guessed it, Hasbro products, arriving August 9-10. I think it was 9-10 because it was fependingon weather conditions. Any other questions just ask and I'll try to answer.

Oh, darling dear K/H, please stay so sweet and innocent for a few more years.

Fat Chance, sorry. :(

If you are expecting to see these items in a retail brick and mortar store about a week after it hits the dock, I think you will be sadly disappointed. Standard distribution will have it dropped on the dock, broken into destination groups, loaded on to transport (truck or train), taken to distribution centers.

For the big boys like Walmart, Target, and TRU, this often begins the warehousing part where the product sits until the regional buyers pull their heads out of their asses and determine which store gets what. Then the distro center puts it on the next truck to that store, or the next truck that has space.

We experienced this when Orm's Return/RttFF showed up at the Seattle port, and the delivery truck when straight to Cardhaus, who then filled orders. From dock to in our hands was roughly 2 hours. From dock to the rest of the retail world? No less than 3 weeks. It was awful for anyone that didn't order from Cardhaus. And even some that did as Cardhaus didn't have enough RttFF to fill all the pre-orders.

I'm actually really glad to hear it is pulling into LA. That means it is that much closer to Sandra(HouseMouse). Here's hoping for everyone and her that weather is great and the ship arrives by the 9th so she isn't staying home to no purpose.

Why would this shipment have any Heroscape product on it?

I just hope that this years Gencon Exclusive was on an earlier shipment.

Didn't Craig tell Oog in one of the interviews that there wasn't going to be a GenCon exclusive fig this year?

That would make me very sad. I didn't see that, but my brain is a little swiss cheese of late.

IIRC, it wasn't verbatim that there would be no exclusive, but the odds leaned against it.

I don't remember reading anything about no con exclusive.

I still don;t know why people are assuming there will be Heroscape product on this Hasbro boat.

:poke:

I'm not saying there won;t be HS on the Hasbro boat.

I'm not getting why anyone would be remotely assuming it will be.
Hasbro has LOTS of products...... the chances of it being HS are roughly 1%, as a starting point.
If anyone has any reason to up it from that %, I would rather that HS was on that ship, so please let me know what insider info you have that tells you that ship has HS on it and I will be optimistic and anticipating it to steam in to the harbor, and hope no hijacked T-Rex destroys the boat when it comes into the Harbor. ;)

Nah, that is a long title and a poor acronym. But the reasons for thinking there may be heroscape on this boat have already been stated. It fits the expected arrival date that Sandra was given.

It doesn't matter, it is just fun to speculate.

Guys, bujee does make a good point. The boat specifically said HASBRO PRODUCTS which means it could be anything. However, it does land right in the middle of the time that Sandra predicted. Now I'm not saying I'm for sure going to be right so if I'm wrong jsut dont't go and unleash hell on me. Also, remeber that there are many other things to unload on that ship, It read that each crate it about the size of a semi-truck. and each boat holds about 5,000 of those.

Didn't Sandra tell us a while back that the next big HS shipment was mainly Jandar's Oath and other restocks?

That was the previous shipment that we all thought had more Wave 4 and Tundra.

Ok, so I'm searching and searching but cannot find it. But I swear I read on a thread that they won't do another exclusive due to the fiasco last year with the exclusive and TRU.

Or maybe it's merely a projection of some repressed envy because I'm not going to GenCon.

OK, we now have 8 days to plan our operations. We need black clothing, night vision goggles, lock picks, rope with grapple...

I've seen both Oceans 11 films several times, along with the sequel and the new Italian Job. I can quote the original Italian Job from memory, I've seen it so often.

So that's my credentials for the big heist established - who else is in?

Since "Drumlanrig Castle" and "The Asuncion NFA Museum" I have sworn off things like this. That is until Stockholm cuts down on their security.

j/k

All you would really need is 4-5 really fast Coopers, :) and of course B@##$ of solid Brass.
