I dropped a line to about.com's boardgame guy, Erik Arneson, asking if he could pull some strings to get himself an interview with Rob and/or Craig. Erik's done some good gaming-related interviews lately, including a little Q&A with the Marvel Heroes (the new strategy game, not the scape version) creators in which some new info was revealed and pictures were shown for the first time.

Given that about .com has an affiliation with the New York Times, I figured he might be able to get more answers than we simple, non-newspaper-affiliated fans can. Plus about.com has a larger readership than this site, by far, and is therefore an excellent choice to give an interview and perhaps some new info to. Plus, the interview with Marvel Heroes gave them an advantage over scape in the minds of about.com's readers....scape's gotta get themselves in there and state their case for why you should spend your superhero-gaming money on them! :-P

Erik's a big HS fan and a supporter of the game at every opportunity. He told me it was a great idea and that he is now "on the case" so hopefully he'll dig up some dirt for us.

Or it could come to nothing. I thought it was worth a shot though.

I have no clue what that's supposed to mean....sarcasm?

I'd like to see you put out a wider circulating paper. :-P

How can you NOT get the idea?
It's an overtly exagerated conservative response for humerous effect.

With all their giving away government secrets and obveous democratic leaning.
(not that I'm a republican either, I like making decisions based on issues, not parties)

Besides... I don't need to give out a highly circulated paper, I'm cool enough without one!
:P

Well, regardless of its flaws or leanings, it still pulls more weight than a reporter from HS.com....our boys do fine work, but NYT is NYT, love it or hate it, About.com is read by more folks than this site will ever be. Which is why Erik might have a good shot at getting some new info for us.
