I want to get started playing Marvel Heroscape but, I am just a little confused about the number of players for the set. The box says for 2 but, then the website appears to say if your playing the master game it is up to 4 players. Can you play with 4 people using the Marvel set or do you have to wait untill the boosters come out. I tried to see if this had been asked by somebody else in the threads but did not see it so please forgive if this been asked already someplace else. Thanks for your time .

There are only 2 sets of order markers in the Marvel set, so you'd be limited to 2 players if you want to play with all the rules. The regular heroscape game comes with 4 more sets, which would mean you could then play with up to 6!

Marvel boosters will never have more order markers in them, unless they make another big boxed set.

I'd never given that any thought. Must have glanced over it cause I've got about 18 sets of markers. I think the expansion should come with more markers for those pure Marvelscapers.

They can always make their own.....the amount of terrain in a pure-Marvel set is VERY small, so a game with more than two teams likely wouldn't be much fun.

Also, Marvel heroscape has only a few figures.....for now.

When we played HUGE games and didn't have enough order markers for some people, we just used playing cards (A, 2, 3, and like any other card for the X). Though they were bulky, they were enough to get the job done.

Also, instead of everyone rolling for initiative and figuring out who goes when and what order, we just use playing cards (A, 2, 3...however many people there are) and just shuffle 'em and people pick them randomly... it really speeds things up and keeps track of who goes when!
