The date has been set, Saturday, August 26th. The format and map details will come later, but here's the info to date:
WHAT: SoCal Heroscapers Tournament #5
WHEN: Saturday, August 26th at 12:00 PM, sharp.
WHERE: Shuffle and Cut Games
(Formerly Gems Games and Cards)
11525 La Mirada Bld., La Habra
(on the S/W corner of Leffingwell and La Mirada)
562-946-5894
http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?addr=111525%20Leffingwell%20Rd&csz=La%20Mirada,%20CA%2090638
The old store-front marquee might still read "Gems" but the new owner advised it could be changed soon.
FEE: The store charges a $5.00 entry fee, per player, which goes towards a gift certificate for the winner.
LOGISTICS: The gaming store is located in a corner mini-mall w/ a Taco Bell, a Mexican restaurant, a liquor store and a small pub to drown your sorrows. There's a pizza joint across the street and a lot of other food places within five minutes.
PRIZES: Besides the gift certificate, we also have a set of custom-made dice crafted by jsterick. Thanks big guy! Maybe a couple more surprises provided by yours truly. Participants do not need to bring anything for a prize kitty, just your $5.00 entry fee.
We are going to try to wrap the gaming up by 4:30 or 5:00 so Allskulls can make his evening committments. Oogie and I are working on the format and will post it shortly. Be prepared for General-pure/specific and all-melee army requirements. I'm toying with the idea of our usual 4 armies at 400 points each, but only using each army once, and having a die roll determine which army will be used for each game (with already used armies being rerolled, of course).
FORMAT: Players will bring 4, 400 point, general specific armies (all units in your 400 point armies will be from the same general.. Utgar, Jandar, etc.) Wave 5 is allowed, if you're fortunate enough to have it.
Each army HAS to be from a different general. I'm not up to seeing 3 variations of orc swarms or 4th mass/knights stuff. Experiment w/ Ullar and Einar. Have fun. Ranged units are allowed. You can kick tush w/ Braxas only once.
You will play on a randomly determined map w/ a randomly determined army. Number your armies from 1 to 4. After you and your opponent have been assigned a map, each rolls a d20. 1-5 means army 1 is played, and may no longer be used in the tournament. 6-10 is army 2, 11-15 is 3, and 16-20 is 4. If you roll up an army that has already been used, keep rolling. You'll hit something new eventually.
This means you may have your viking/knights army vs a viper horde on a map with a lot of water. Oh well. Have a plan "B." Improvise. Adapt. Most generals throughout history do not get to decide the terrain they fight on. Flexibility is going to be key.
Maps will be coming, but due to the very random nature of this tournament, map recon may not be all that important.
See you all on the 26th. :D
Here's what we're playing for:

EDIT by ODB:
Adding to the prize list
A set of Custom jtserick Heroscape Dice!!!
The pictures I had seen of his work before, do not do them justice!!! Neither do these. I had them in hand... and gave them a couple of test rolls to make sure they worked  And they are just Awsome!!!
Not sure how these will be given away. Either "Most Sportsmanlike Award" or possibly a door prize. Boom will announce how this prize will be awarded (or I can just hold on to them).

General-pure/specific
You mean having to bring in all Ullar etc army? Sounds nifty. Of course so does an all melee and having to use each army once rule. Stops someone from bringing the same thing to each table. So hey how about another new rule that doesn't allow double uniques in your army building? That way we don't have someone just putting braxas in each army and changing her buddies to meet the different army specifics =)
boom
July 28th, 2006, 07:55 PM
Good thought Dman. Oogie and I were kicking around a rule that you have to have four general-specific armies from four DIFFERENT generals. That way we won't see four variations of a Braxis/Agent army or Drake/AOE army.

July 29th, 2006, 12:55 AM
Well I dunno new rules that you can't have a unique hero more then once in your armies will fix the braxas problem anyhow. Plus there are some cross bonding that would be ruined and mixing and matching is half the battle. You're the host though so make with the rules you like best. I'm sure it will be a nice change up whatever you decide.

Hey guys Im in with a friend, so there will be 2 of us coming. He's in Ireland now and doesnt have an account here, but he checks this site often. He will get back the 21st, and ill tell him to make an account so he can confirm. Believe me, you dont know how happy I am to finally be meeting you guys. GAME ON!
JuicerGM
July 29th, 2006, 02:53 AM
How about this though. If there is a one use only rule allow 5 or 6 submitted armies. Then there is still a choice of armies on that last table. I do think a one unique use rule would be cool too.
As for making 4 different general armies I think that could limit the variations in armies we see at the tables. Jandar and Utgar have many variations available but the others start having only a few combinations.
Each army as only one general that would be alright and you must have armies from 2 generals that would be fair. Just my ideas.

Okay If we do this Id just like to put some comments/opinions on this
1) does anyone like the no-range idea? Personally I dont, well I do, but Id rather have it with range. Anybody else? I think It was allskulls who said that he liked this, so he doesnt have to answer. No problem though if it isnt, Im just checkin
2) You said no range wich means figs only who have ranges of 1, but what if they have a special that allows range, i.e. mimiring?
3) Since we are going to roll for the board what happens If I roll and I pick my 16 Dtumef army (no I dont, just hypothetically) thats 32 spaces, but the starting zone only takes 20? Do I reroll? Do they cut me some slack? Or is that just my fault?
thanks guys, Im pumped for this. I think im going to reveal the army that Im gunna beat Dman with, here it is
Khosumet
Dund
Sparticus
385 pts.

What kind of design do people want on the dice?
Detrimentalman
August 15th, 2006, 03:02 PM
Feek I can answer your questions...
No more melee, thats 1&2. For three we've never disqualified for armies that don't fit. Mostly because sometimes we build random maps at the tournie and sometimes they dont all get landscaped with startin zones for you to count.
I'm still a little miffed with each army not being able to mix at all. I sat down last night and scratched my head trying to come up with something I haven't done before without picking dund hehe. People who aren't doubled up are going to have even more trouble.
What is the reason behind randomly selecting armies? I mean I get only using each army once, but why can't you choose when to use them? A good general also knows how to make use of his forces area of expertise.
Either way it will make for an interesting experiment.

:D :D :D I always use genereal specific armies, i wouldnt come to a tournament without them, so this really doesnt make a difference to me, and thanks Dman, but I do agree that it will hurt the people that dont have that much, Im going to have to go to the store just to get 1 or 2 more packs.

If I'm not mistaken, the vast majority of the players who have signed up for the tournie have multiple sets of each wave. Am I wrong? Is using Dund that bad a deal? Or have we forgotten that we're playing for fun? Heck, the master set gives you 1/2 of your Vydar points, if you're so inclined. I'd wager everyone has the a microcorps or 2 to round out 400.
Any players who are having trouble making a 400 point army from any general, PM by Monday, Aug 21, and I'll see what needs I can assist you with for the day.
As for the randomness of which army you use, why not? It's something new, so let's give it a try.

I know you can, but I thought a big part of these new rules was to see a variety of armies being played. If half the people use krav, carr, and 2 microcorp for vydar that's just going to make the whole problem worse right? I just wanted to point out the potential problem with the system. Obviously you're still all for it so we'll see how it works out.

And if your having trouble coming up with a Vydar army, don't play one.
There are 5 generals but only 4 armies needed.
As far as the "different" armies thing, I think he was referring to seeing different armies other than the typical power builds we've been seeing time and again at the tournaments.
I like the uncertainty of not knowing how my army will match up with my opponnents (and the map) and how I will have to adjust my strategy to accomodate.

I like the uncertainty of not knowing how my army will match up with my opponnents (and the map) and how I will have to adjust my strategy to accomodate.
Yeah nothing really wrong with it, just putting more things in the hands of lady luck is all. I like it better when i'm more responsible for my win or loss then a die roll. Of course if it was up to me we'd draft every round so I may be in a minority. Maybe from now on if we end up with two undefeated players their championship match should be drafted weeeeeee
Thora won't ship from housemouse till Fri. 25th and those with castles won't be getting them until a later date so it doesn't seem like we'll have anybody with them.

Ive had some trouble getting wave 4 and 4.5. Can i borrow 2 sets of elvish archers from someone? I really need to use those, but I just can't get them. Oh, and does anyone have a James Murphy too? K I'm getting confused with this whole thing.
I know that I need (by Saturday)
SECOND THOUGHT:
On second thought, I think that really all I need are Raknar's and the other 2 wave 4's for the tourney (and then maybe borrow an extra elves).
I was gonna list the stuff when I realized that i am going to test my teams until I find a good collaboration for a 400pt. general specific. If someone could have a raknars and the wave 4's (if I cant buy them from someone there) on borrowing call, I would really appreciate it. Kind of embarrasing  but not as embarrasing as coming to a tourney and realizing that my perfect teams are not accessable. Ask now and not be sorry later! As I already said, I have a full set of wave 5, and the stuff that I'm not using at the time can be lent out maybe.

I only got wave 1-3 commons, not 4.
JuicerGM reserved the wave 3 long ago.
And feekonea called dibs on the Knight/Swog pack.
So what I have left is wave 1 and most of wave 2.
As for lending... I still havn't put my armies together, so I don't know what I'll have left over. Even still BIGJIM is 1st in line at the remainder of my figs... But after that you welcome to borrow what you need.

I'm striving to get set up to offer these dice for sale through my engraving shop. Once I am setup I can turn them out relatively easily. Well the tournament I think was a large success. Had a great time and a few good games one or two were kind of painful, probably not the ones you would think. I'll get into all that later. Congrats to royal for not beating me once, but twice and taking home the trophy.
Great job, Royal! You won the tourney twice
Maybe he did win it twice and maybe he shouldn't have had too, but i'm getting a little wary of running into rules i've never heard of that change the outcome of the tournaments at the last minute. I'm not saying the rule was unfair though I don't really agree with it (I think ties should be played out, or go by the points), but the first you hear of a rule shouldn't be when it makes a change in an outcome. As we get more and more people at these things some kind of a printed rules would really be a good idea. It would really make me feel better as well because then I won't be stumbling across them anymore =)
Also with predrafted armies we really need to have someone carefully going through them. This is the second time i've noticed an error in an army and it isn't fair to their opponents. Of course really the opponent should be the one catching it, but then what happens at that point, they're disqualified? It would be better to even submit armies earlier if we have too to make sure we're getting them right. After the tournament there was even some discussion about working in drafting armies which i'm all for, that's the way the game was meant to be played after all. It isn't any fun playing three medium heroes to have braxas walk over and melt them for the win =/
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to say the armies at this tournament were all very interesting. It was very nice to have such a large diversity and even though some people struggled with it (lot of 375-385 armies) I have to admit my concerns were unfounded because everyone made it work. Including me who ended up borrowing a squad from Oogs as well. Bringing down braxas down to one per person was great and I still suggest from now on you can only use a unique once throughout your four armies.
First round
Ah my nemesis Griffon. Well interestingly enough we both had vydar. His army was very similar too, in fact I had changed mine at the last minute or they would have been exactly the same. Unfortunately for both of us our microcorp had issues with there being very little heigh advantage in this map which hurt me more with two squads of'm. There was a decent battle, but as soon as Griff rolled Q9 up there was nothing I could do. I whiffed my two chances to shoot him with height, but in the end his special was the deciding win for Griff.
Second round
This was a match against bigjim. It was my all range jandar army against his almost all melee ullar orc army. It definately wasn't pretty and I came out with only losing 3 minutemen. The game would have been a little different if I had lost an inittiative or two, but in the end the range just tore him up.
Third round
Oh it's Oogie. Why do I play this man every tournament? I dunno, but at least it saves other people from us. It came down to both of us having ullar. This had to be one of the most dissatisfying games i've had in a while which is odd since it was flawless, but the best games are the ones that come down to a wire I think and I don't think Tony or I enjoyed it.
Fourth round
This match was against feekonea. I honestly had an advantage right from the start with the armies and the map. It came down to utgar for both of us, he had no range though and I had mimring who is pretty evil against orcs. I have to praise feekonea for praising me in turn for the moves that made his eyes pop. He was a great sport about the whole thing and I look forward to playing again on more even footing.
Well I thought I had the tournament in hand with everyone losing at least once and several nearly perfect games, but I was evidently mistaken. We had plenty of time for a 5th game though so at least I got to play for it.
5th Round
This time we got to pick our armies, so I went with my utgar army and Griff went with his Jandar army. He managed to drop his AE almost right away, but with a daring move with my swogs I had him paying for it. He in turned grenaded with his remaining two AE and killed 3 arrow gruts and a swog in one throw. I still had krug and mimring with change though so I was feeling fine. Unfortunately the way the map was built krug couldn't get onto the height he was using (I also later kicked myself because I should have used my +to innitiative roll at the start to grab the other side which was more krug friendly) so he stood and took a few hits while mimring finished them off. Here I began going after that little blue angel of his before Niff, but couldn't quite get her down before she healed him.
It finally game down to Niff vs krug and mimring. Griff moved in and engaged krug before throwing down his special not remembering the rules of engagement and hit krug twice. When I told him he couldn't attack mimring now he was at a bit of a loss. I had given him some leeway earlier, but it was down to the wire so I figured rules are rules not to mention I was still miffed at having to play a 5th at all. Tony was of a mind I should let him him redo it and attack mimring as well; it was honestly the decent thing to do so I gave in and he killed mimring. Well lets say I should have looked at my markers first because my third was on mimring and now I was in a world of hurt. I got innitiative so I had a chance and krug swung away with 8 dice, but Niff had full health and it was over.
Mostly well played except for a few mistakes I caught, but then again I was an idiot with my markers near the end as well. Remembering all the rules is part of the game, things like disengagement swipes, whether or not figures are engaged with height, and so on and so forth make or break a game for a lot of people and you missed quite a few of those though I let you have'm. With the kids beating on all the old guys I don't imagine they need anymore help next time though =)
-------------------
Afterwards the guys went out for a drink and which was great aside from loosing Juicer on the way. We talked about a variety of random things along with recapping some choice moments from our games and talked about maybe getting some extra games in, but in the end everyone just went home. It was a good ending to a great day of gaming. I hope to see everyone at the next tournament.

August 27th, 2006, 07:33 PM
Allright, I'm gonna do a little recap of my games.
Round 1- Bye. Yeah! I didn't lose.
Round 2- vs. Royalgriffin. His Utgar Marro army (Su-Bak, 1 Hounds, 2 Drones and Warriors) vs my Ullar army (Theracus, Deadeye, Elves and Jotun). Every time I play an army w/ hounds, like an idiot, I ignore them only to have those suckers up in my face by order 2. Next time I'll learn. His hounds were ripping up my elves w/ jaws and plague, while I flew Deadeye to height and missed 2 snipes at Su-Bak. Su-Bak made it up and killed Theracus and Deadeye (after another miss) as Jotun dispatched the hounds and strolled up the right side road to the minions. Royal figured he had the game in the bag if he just got his marros to height, so off they went to the top of a castle tower, out of Jotuns reach. Sadly, his math was a tad off, and he realized this as Jotun slashed all six drones and wounded Su-Bak-Na. Now the monster face off as Su-Bak-Na, w/ height, duked it out w/ a wounded Jotun (from a lowley minion). We exchanged a couple of hits and finally I had him ready for the fall. I won initiative, rolled my 8 FREAKIN' attack dice, and whiffed them all  . Su-Bak hit back w/ just enough getting through to skewer Jotun and take the game. Real close.
Round 3- vs Allskulls. His Vydar Agents, Microcorps, Major X whatever # and Carr vs my Vydar army of Gladiatrons, Blastatrons, Q-9 and Murphy. My left flank had his Krav locking up w/ the 'trons, w/ me losing most of them and only taking 1 agent in return. Q-9 worked the right and take a few thousand Quetzacoatl(or whatever) gun shots at her, only to have Allskulls roll a shield every single time. I decide to drop this strategy and go for his Major, who was coming around the glaciers. A couple of nice shots finished him off as Carr dispatched the remaing 'trons. Now, Carr sets himself up for a little pistol shot at Q-9, missed, and gets blasted in return. Off to finally finish off those pesky Krav, who (sadly for 'skulls) had all the order markers on them. Q-9 strolled up to the remaining Microcorps and eventually gunned them down. 'skulls started off slapping me around, but losing his Krav w/ the order markers was a big blow against him. Great game.
Round 4- vs BIGJIM. His Ullar vipers, warlord, arnoc and elves, vs my Jandar all valiant of Knights, 4th Mass and Denrick. The 4th mass was able to get to high ground (thanks to some ladders) and musketball most of BIGJIM's army. He did have a nice double frenzy turn that saw vipers sawing through some knights. The Warlord hung on for dear life and kept dodging shots and killing minutemen and knights. Finally, Denrick arrived and put the snake king to bed. Cool game, comps, and sorry about the die rolling. :D
Round 5-vs JuicerGM. His Vydar army (Braxas, Microcorps, Murphy) vs my Einar melee deluxe (Ninja's, Cruxis, Marcus and 2 Romans). Oh, the was a nice 6-height hill on my side of the table w/ no one in my army able to get up and keep dragons off. Wanna guess what happened next? Yup, acid breathed up the ying-yang. Even Marcus and that worthless gladiator went up in smoke. I think I nailed one agent w/ my Ninja's before I started blowing my Northwind rolls and even wounded Murph, but it was pretty much all over. I did get a couple of Legionnaires on Braxas when she finally came down off the mountains, and dealt a few wounds, but too little too late, and they succumbed to the same fate as their comrades. Eh, good game, and just the kind of screwed up, random match up I hoped for when I decided for General-pure, random armies.
Maybe going back to drafting won't be such a bad thing.

Ok now its my turn, I like making pre made armies, its just the thing that roling for what table is the problem. I think you should do pre made, but you dont have to roll for the tables, you can just pick an army, but you need to use all armies at least once, but hey maybe Im only saying that cuz the 2 times I played against braxas I won. :D ok here it goes...
1st game:juicer
great guy, lots of fun to play with. he had finn, knights, sentinels of jandar, johhny shotgun, and 4th mass. I had Q9, krav, and nakita. As it starts off, it looks like im going to win, getting the first 2 kills without him even touching my army, but I took a risk on my 3rd turn leaving Q9 in range of finns move and attack, so we roll initiative, which was crucial for me, and I lose (i think i lost the first 4 initiatives, if not more) he comes in, and finish off his finn, but it allows his units to take the height, which we were both battling for. eventually Q9 goes down, and then he brings up sullivan w/ finn on him. I still think I have a shot at this, until we realize that the nakitas special does not work on sullivans special attack so there goes my strategy. I retreat with the kravs, he kills m nakitas, blah blah blah, game over he wins with johnny with1 life left, 3 minute men, and 1 KoW. One word to describe this guys playing style: ruthless
2nd Game: mac
mac brings out his braxas, johnny shotgun, and krav. I pull out my "signature army" which seriously turned some heads at the tourny, including booms, allskulls, and Oogs. Oops, I was so busy bragging I forgot to tell you who they were, Venoc Warlord, and venoc vipers x7. I sneak behind his lines after I kill Johhny w/ some frenzies, destroy all the krav, and then take down braxas, simple enough. I have left, full health of venoc warlord, and 3 1/3 squads of vipers left. allskulls watched most of this game which made me feel good playing in front of an audience, other than my friends. One word to describe Mac's playing style: horrible, haha jk were long time buddies, and I taught him how to play the game, So ill give him strategic.
3rd game: Obstinator (sp?)
Wow what a great sport. He ran a gladiatron, blastatron, Q9 and shotgun sully, I gave my army alistair, KoW x2, and 4th mass x2 I took down his gladiatrons, Blastatrons, and Q9 only losing one minute man, I was on that game. and all I heard from this kid was wow good job, or good roll, or awesome play, Boom you hit the nail on the head with the sportsmanship award here. Johhny did better for him, and I ended it with an Alistair w/ 3 damage, knights of weston except for 2, and one minuteman. Great sport, one word to describe his playing style: never giving up, (relentless?)
4th game:D-man
ugh. ugh. I had tornak, grimank, nerak, and blade gruts x3 against his mimiring, krug swog x2 and arrow x2. I love his army now, A great army hands down. And of course we played soulrazor canyon, and I knew I was done for from the beginning, cuz of my no range, and double spaces no flying big guys. My head wasnt even in this one, cuz he slaughtered me. He flew mimiring up on the top of the whole board on the opening turn, and just firelined me from there, I never stood a chance, I was so out of it, he had to correct me about 5 times, one thing even 3 times over haha. He is overall a good player, until he makes that great move that you never see coming, thats the only way to beat this guy, try to somehow prevent him fro making that huge move. In this game there was 2, one was his first move with mimiring, then how he left our engagement when I finally got up there to engage him, andhe flew to the other mountain where none of my guys were, setting up his fireline, I was in aww. the game ended with me getting his krug down to one line, 3 damage one mimiring, and killing a swog and 3 arrow gruts, I love his team and will definetly use it in a future tourny, as long as its ok with him. he would make a great chess player. one word to describe his playing stlye:tricky (make your oppoennet go one way, then bam, there goes his great move and totally screws you.)
Game 5: Oog
ok now we could choose our aries, so I go with my "viperlicous" army again, mittens and VV x7, he goes with the same army mac has, braxas, krav , and shotgun,I told him before hand that I had already played this army and won, so he said "uh-oh thats not good" ahah. basically the same game, but instead of what mac did with braxas (let me come to him) he tried coming to me to get by my starting zone, I saw this, and wouldnt let it happen, even though it produced better results than macs army. I ended with mittens, 1 1/3 squads of venoc vipers, It was a great game as he complemented how much he liked my army, about 3 or 4 times, which made me feel awesome. One word to describe his playing style: strategic.
I had a great time, and thanks for hosting Boom, my parents might even let me come to the september tourny cuz u all were so nice. I agree with D man though, we need to do something about the standings, what allskulls came in 6th with a 3-1 record, and Oog came in 8th, with a 2-3, even though coming into the final game only 3 people ahd a better record than us and the other 2 tha shared the same record we beat in regulation, maybe next time we should do double elimination. What also made me feel good was after my 2 big victories, Boom asked what my record was and I said 2-1 and then he quickly turned tro my mom and said, "ok he cant play with us anymore"haha, but that was before I played D-man   :D :D
I would also like to add how great these guys are,I talked with allskulls a lot, and we got along great. Its amazing how everyones love over this game could make us get along so well even though our age different age groups, I also enjoyed the presence of Juicer, Oog, D-man, and Boom who I talked a lot with also. They were great guys. even though I didnt get to play against or talk to Big jim or junior much. :( even though my friend told me they were both really nice. I never played against Boom either, but we talked quite abit. I also talked to d man a llot during the game and to Oog too.it seems like we just talk for epriods of time without even payin attention. :D

Yup, that was a lot 'o green. Play that on St. Patrick's day.

I don't think anyone took pictures did they? Of the games I mean. I would have liked to have seen your green army. Apparently that beast army has been around a while (so i've been told) so go ahead and use it, I created it on my own steam and the dynamics of it are pretty cool. There is a counter to everything which is why it would be good to work in a draft. Adds that extra strategic element and no windfalls to a braxas etc You take your green army i'll take Q9 and D8000...don't even really need the other points.
This is the first time rolling for armies and I have to say I didn't like it either, it did seem to exasperate the problem I have with premade armies. Almost every game I sat down and either said "damn this map favors my army really well" or "omg what am I going to do". It also seemed like every game I called before I started. The only one I wasn't so sure on was the 5th game and that one we picked. When you sit down to a table look at both your armies and you are 99% sure of an outcome it kinda ruins the whole thing.

the AE also tear up my army, maybe thats one of the reasons I wouldnt like to do a draft :D But I think its way more fun coming in and not knowing what your going up against, rather than just drafting, but either is fine with me.

Gentlemen, I just want to say that the impression you all made to the moms that were there with the kids was huge. Alex's mom (my wife) was thoroughly impressed with the way you all behaved. There was another mom there that was observing the Yugio game going on at the other end of the shop and couldn't believe what a difference in the conversations and mannerisms of the players, that the players were polite and considerate! I also believe that Shepard posted his mom was impressed as well. Bottomline, thanks for making it a family game. It means a lot to us as parents and alot to the game in general. I look forward to hosting a gameday/tournament in the not too distant future and look forward to having you all in my house! Thanks again, Ty

Glad the dice went to a deserving recipient. Looks like a grand time was had by all.
Sorry I couldn't make the tourney but my shakedown hike was much needed. I discovered much vital info: don't forget the rolaids, aspirins and pepto pills, check your water containers for leaks ahead of time, buy heavy duty not medium duty shoe liners! Actually that is all pretty good info to have for attending Gencon also!

That's very nice of you to say. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we enjoyed playing against your son and the other "newer" (well, to us at least) players. Great sports, one and all.
I've taken my 6-year-old to shop at that store on a few occassions and I also noticed the language coming from the other end of the shop. Enough to make one cringe. .
I'll take you up on the hosting offer, if you can confirm a couple of wins for me.

I thought I saw a name plate on the base in one of the pictures. Heh heh... that is pretty funny, though.
As for when I'm coming to Cali, right now I'm scheduled to head out there for GenCon in November. Though while I did post that I wanted to get a hotel room during my stay, I might cancel that and just stay at my brother's place during my time there. Still thinking about it though.
