Does anyone know the date when the next marvel expansion comes out? I know it's in December but I want to know if it comes out early or late in the month. This may have been posted before or not but I don't know.

According to what I've been hearing, it might not be out til January-February.
There's no exact release date planned for it. Toys don't really work that way.

Dang. :brickwall: I was expecting them to be out around December.
:dnfnoob:
The only heroscape I have is the Marvel master set, Einar Imperiums, and some archers.

If you happen to have any Hero Clix, you should visit the Marvel customs section. There's should be enough stuff there to hold you over till reinforcements arrive

You should get the Wave Six Hero Pack, the Rise of the Valkryie Master Set, and a couple packs of Orcs. That would make an awesome collection.

Problem is that even if Hasbro could give us a release date, it would still probably be over a month past that date before we saw the product in stores.

So for someone who never played this game until Marvel came out, should we be expecting some kind of previews?
That is, will we see any stats before the actual release?

yeah, what he said... this is my first venture into heroscape as well (and probably will only stick with the Marvel stuff)

It's kind of hit-and-miss. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Usually nothing is officially released until the product actually hits a customer, but we do get thrown scraps now and then.

That's obnoxious. So we don't know anything perhaps until sometime between now and Feb? argh.

Has anyone heard anything specific about the Marvel Reinforcements Arrive expansion yet? We are approaching February and I have yet to see anything specific.

Trust me ... if a specific date was given, 40 users would simultaneosly post threads stating the miracle in question.
In short ... no.
Should you be surprised? No. Hasbro has made a great game, but they don't concern themselves with actually selling it. Of course, this can't be blamed on the game's actual creators, but is more the fault of the pencil-pushers who want immediate profit rather than continuous profit. You can also blame the massive conglomerates (not for this delay specifically, but for the fact that you won't see an expansion in stores until about 7 months after its release) and whoever made the Transformers movie.

No, I'm saying maybe March or April, since AA, TJ, and wave 8 aren't even out yet. Their original release date was October, and Marvel's was 2 months after: December. Since we're now in January, and still nothing new, I think the heroscape products will be released either this month or next month, and marvel will come 2 months after that: March or April.

Looks like the big question now is not "When is the release date?", but "Will the expansion still be released?"

On the Wizards takes over Heroscape thread, this has been officially answered. Marvel waves are coming sometime after June...

I think the delay now might benefit us in the future. What with the delay now being due to a changing of the guard, which in itself may help with more timely releases in the future. I believe this will ultimately be a good thing, not a bad one.

I'm glad this has been answered. It was my first question after "what happens to Craig?"
Sadly, Craig is gone (ssomething that has me apprehensive about future products)...at least the transfer brought some good news though in that these products are still coming out, just a lot later than planned.
I haven't found info on wave 8.5 yet....is that buried in the WOTC thread somewhere?

Aquilla's alliance will likely be scraped (as a set, but the figures will still likely be released). Big Box Stores have not liked the sales of the large packs (due to The Dragon Lady's cursed packaging scheme) so the future of such is very much up in ther air.

Just a slight tweak on Cav's excellent summation, the Aquilla Alliance figures will FOR CERTAIN be released, per Paul (WotC rep) himself. :) They just didn't say when.

Off topic, but I'm really disappointed that the next Super Smash Bros won't have my two favorite characters - Marth and Roy!
And that's all I have to say about that. :D

We can always go to the Smash Bros thread, but I'll reply here...
They may still be in. They've never been confirmed to be out. I really doubt Marth will be cut, though, since he was the first main character in Fire Emblem.

Not to my knowledge. Believe me, if there was an official release date or any new info, it would be pretty easy to find, and hard to miss.

I agree the wait between sets seems unnecessary. Especially with the Marvel reinforcements which were supposedly coming out long ago. What's the hold up fella's?

I'm sure the transfer over to WotC has a lot to do with the delay.
Also, the fact that the continuation depends on WalMart's participation is a major roadblock.

Just a quick request for an update on a release date? I've searched the net, seen lots of pics, and a ton of custom jobs on ebay yet still no idea as to when or if a booster set is near. Can anyone help??

The set was not finished when Wizards took over from Hasbro, so there's still a lot of work to be done on it. It will not be out until at least after June. My best guess would be a fall release, but from what Mr. Barclay has been telling us in the feedback thread it looks like at least this first set [i]will[/b] be coming out, but not for a good while longer.

I stopped by my store today and picked up their last copy of Marro (which I passed on originally) which left them with a single copy of of ROTV.

I passed on it too, but I sure got it this time. You can't beat the price for more terrain, monsters and scenarios!
