How do you guys add attack bonus to Q9, as in height +1 or Taelord's +1?

My brother in-law and I were debating as to how to adjust Q9's attack. Since he starts out each turn with 9 attack dice, do you add the +1 to make it 10 attack dice and still have the 1, 2, 3 attack dice at a time until the 10 total are used up?

Or, do you keep the original 9 attack dice total and allow him to attack with 1, 2, 3 or 4 attack dice at a time until the 9 are used up? (that way you could do 4, 4 and 1 to take on better defenses).

Or, do you allow for an attack with 2, 3 or 4 each time for a total of up to 12 attack dice per turn?

Imaging Q9 with height advantage and Taelord!

We were playing with two 750pt armies coming from opposite sides of the board attacking a 1000pt army with height (10 and 11 levels high) so that allowed for some massive big guns. We have to tweak it to get the point ratio right but it's kind of fun. Seems like both times we played though, the player defending the high ground got spanked. So we might have to lower (drastically) the points allowed for the attackers. Freakin' Braxas is murder on squad figures.

THAT attack is a special ability.
Special abilities are not modified by anything, not height, not glyffs, not taelord, nothing.
The bonuses would go to his base attack 4.

Yes, what he said. Special Attacks are never modified by anything.

Also, what part of Indiana are you in? I live in Indiana :)

Rufous is right. You can have Q9 with height, Taelord, and an attack glyph. Your choices would be:

Standard attack - very respectable 7 dice one punch
Special attack - the same nine dice no matter what.

I live in Lowell, as does my brother in-law and nephew. In fact, they live on the next block, so spur of the moment games are convenient. I've only been playing for a little while, they've been playing since just after Christmas, plus they play a couple times a week.

So are down in West Laffeyette, Netherspirit?

One time I attacked my friend swog with 9 attacks of 1 and killed the swog on the last shot. :screwy:

Q9 is THE anti Krav unit. Do 9 attacks of 1 and they will wiff... eventually.

The West Lafayette exit off of I-65 is like an hour away from me, half way to Indy. We had to take one of our dogs to Purdue for a broken leg several years back, it was roughly 1 1/2 hours.

My Strat- O-Matic Hockey just came in the mail today, so now I have to fit Heroscape into our Strat-O hockey league season. Oh the wife will be wondering where the heck I'm at until spring time when we finish the hockey season.

Hopefully my twin daughters can get a scholorship to Purdue, otherwise....

Good gaming Netherspirit :D

so true, me and matty420 rolled it out a couple times when i thought of him and his freaking kravs and how nice q9 would work. q9 rocks the house everytime unless very unlucky
