Anyone else out there?

I've only noticed two members from this area, based on location tag lines and a map. HS expansions don't seem to sit on shelves long around here, so there must be quite a few buying.

Anyone interested in getting together for games? Right now it's just me and my wife. Fun yes, but it's always interesting going up against new people - with any game.

I am in the AREA of KC but not in KC more like about 60 miles North.
KC is nearest City so that is why I put it on Location line. I know what you mean about HS flying off the shelf both in St. Joseph and in KC.

i bet they are ging straight to ebay, rather than other scapers using them...we have the same problems here in VA. wave 4 is a bit scarce here, but not totally non-existent

Welcome Cave! Glad to finally see at least SOME traffic on this thread. Hadn't thought about the Ebay scenario - but surely there are more of us in the metro area.

Maybe we should see about placing .com stickers on heroscape shelves - not sure how the stores would like it, but it might generate more interest.

Kahrma,
Do you play HS regularly? One problem I have is with the group I play with is 3 of the 4 us have between 80 to 120 mile round trip drives to work so HS is strickly a Weekend thing. and typically only about once a month.

Between my brother-in-law and myself we have 4MS, 4 Lava, 4 Bridges and mostly 2 of all the figures sets to wave 4 occasionally 3 sets. and several offical Neraks (well over 10 ) (before the boards start yelling I went to a TRU in KC that was closing they had almost all of the Neraks they were suppose to hand out (NO CARDS) I bought only about 1/2 of their stock)

About the same as you - maybe once a month. I have a pretty decent collection, but don't have a network of fellow players yet. In the meantime I hunt for expansions, consider army combinations, and work on maps (I've got a new one sitting on my table right now....)

Next time you plan a HS get-together, give me a PM. Might be able to join up, if you don't mind another army on the board.

And since you mentioned Nerak, I have yet to find a copy outside of e-bay (hint hint!)

I might be able to fix the Nerak Problem for a fellow KC-area person (I have 8+ un-opened) but have no card - there is a thread with a link to the official card somewhere in the forum.

I would only charge you for shipping and my cost on the figure (cheaper than buying a swog/ knights blister to do a repaint)

PM me if interested - I don't want to anounce a price since I not sure about shipping. also I may try to Trade some if Gencon has a Exclusive 2006 figure.

I would say next time I am in the city I could drop it by but with the gas prices the way they are unless you worked or dwelled in an area I frequent- I would prefer to ship. Typically, I only go to Liberty (I-35/ 152 exchange shopping center), Inpendence Center/ Noland Rd area, and ocasionally North Oak Trafficway (to the Sam's Club).

Unfortunately, Most of our game are on the cuff - One of the players (who owns a clone of my HS stuff) works at the Ford Plant in Claycomo and does alot of OT and Saturdays in his position. So none of our games are scheduled too far in advance (usually only a hour or so)

Greetings Aielman,
I have not checked this forum for a while.
I Work in downtown St Joe and could maybe swing by Target once every couple of weeks or so when I need to go to Sam's Club.
If they get any more in I'll post it

If you work in KC - I would try that Liberty Target. I have yet to see the Tundra set or Raknars Vision in any Walmart.

BTW the south Walmart in St. Joe has a shelf Barcode for the Castle set but the north Walmart did not have shelf space for it nor was it pictured on the stocking paperwork 2 weeks ago when I was in there last.

I've only seen one TT at a local Target. We're swimming in Wave 5 here. I came across 3 castles at the local WM - took 2 of them home.

South St Joesph WM had 3 castles and 2 Complete sets of wave five last night (aug 31) at 6:30. I already have wave 5 so did not get but still no snow

I bought one of forest sets at 15 and I saw the Castle and was surprised that the Cameron WM would get them at all.

Anyone in Kansas City are free on Thursdays for some gaming? I'm at the IHOP-KC Missions Base and Thursday is my sabbath/day off and I'm just wondering if anyone would be free to hang out and play Heroscape, or any other games. I'd need to be done at like 9:30 so I can make it back here by ten. PM me if you can.
