Wal-mart is selling these plastic pencil boxes, that lock closed and are groove-stackable, for .50 a pop. They are large enough to hold 3-5 squads + cards, and are very low profile, just slightly taller than a normal heroscape base.

here is a picture with the case with 3x legionaires, 2x 4th mass, and marcus, and plenty of room to spare:

here's one closed:

Not a bad deal for .50 a pop, imo.

These are the perfect solution to anyone having storage issues with their heroscape, and doesn't want to dedicate corner of tubberware shelves.

Just a heads up.

This may get merged with other storage thread, but since this was a sale that was going on, didn't want it to get lost at the bottom of that thread.

this would be a good idea to store your 400 point army for tourney.

I'd actually use them for rolling dice. I've got a huge tackle box for storing ALL my units, but am still rolling on a hard oak table. Are the bottoms flat enough for die rolling?

JJ, I buy those containers by the boatload each summer and hand them out to my students. They just remind me that school will be starting up again in about a month. Thanks for the reminder.

What are the rough dimensions of those guys? I've got the storage part taken care of, I just need to get the organization taken care of. If they will work out, I'm going to have to go through the couches to get a few.

That's funny you posted this. I picked up 10 of them last week for that purpose. Now I've got to figure out how to get a strap on them to carry them easily.

I also cut some of that material used in the kitchen drawers and lined my boxes with them too. They don't slide around when I carry them.
