anyway, there's a centerfold size shot of the sweepstakes pic. Couldn't really locate any other new figs in the new and bigger pic.

Hmm. If the ad is as you describe, this does allow us a bit of informed speculation about the "Charlies Angels" agents.

Are Drake, Syvaris, and the girls all walking together peacefully, like in a little group, friendly-like?

That could mean that in the fiction of the game they are all on the same "good" side, which would seem to support the Agents fighting for Jandar instead of Vydar...opinions have been split between the two.

Also, if the girls are being featured in this way, it might lead one to believe they are unique....common characters don't seem to be as prominently featured in the comics as unique ones. Maybe the girls are supposed to have a bit more personality than your typical common drone. Makes sense.

they also reference themselves as being able to be mindshackled (a unique army problem only) so through meta gaming I definitely feel they will be unique. As to fighting for Jandar- definitely as well, the first page implies the angels not fighting with Syv on a regular basis and instead being comfortable with Drake instead. Great find. I'll have to check out the comic (unless it all appears here after I get off work tomorrow)

as for abilities- they might be like the Tagawa are to Izumi- higher cost for an additional ability/stat. hmmm, how nasty can they improve upon the Krav? 8 range? 4 attack? 6 move? maybe they have a zettian targeting like function.

True, but they've listed the game designers in the other comics as well. Perhaps because they had some hand in the design of the HS universe, and thus the storyline. Or even to further market the idea to the reader that Heroscape is not just a comic book, but a game as well.

Though you'd think with four comics under their belt, they could at least catch that Rob's name was spelled incorrectly... :roll: Honestly, the error doesn't look to be some mistype, as the 'A' on the keyboard isn't even close to the 'O'! Heh heh...

I'm having a bit of a graphics problem with the internet in general....if anyone can tell me what might be wrong I'd appreciate it.

Every time I try to look at a picture online, even the little graphics surrounding the borders of this site and others, they look like they are color bleeding or are otherwise fuzzy/blurry. No pictures are sharp.

Is some setting off on my browser? Pictures that are already on my computer look fine....but anything new I try to access from the net looks bad, even if I save it to my computer and look at it offline.

PM me if anyone has a solution, or at least a suggestion, please.

Yeah the kid must have been cos-playing. You can even see the hidden leaf village symbol engraved on it. I noticed it too, but didn't know that anyone cared about it's orgin. They just liked laughing at it... I couldn't find it in myself to take that away from them :gencon:

Yeah, that's apparent in the comic and so true to his bio. Heck, even when we first started playing Syvarris, we'd play him like that. Get him out thinking he's gonna do some serious mop-up, but only to lose him to his miserable defense and so-so life.

I still think Drake should've been a little more gruff and aged like Sgt. Rock or Fury.

1) On the right, Me-Burq-Sa. So Utgar has control of the castle.
2) On the left, Nifheim. It’s a snow scenario after all. As he’s Jandar and the castle is apparently in the control of Utgar I’m guessing he’s mind-shackled. I’m also guessing that the Dzu-Teh will show up to kick a little Marro butt. Again, snow scenario.
3) In the center, Saylind. He could just be siding with Ungar but I’m thinking mind-shackled.

They are all Jandar and Ullar figs on the castle the horse one is Theratcus. But I think what we are seeing is a massive army taking siege on the castle and now the group is stuck between Ne-Gok-Sa and an Utgar Army.

The second and third pages open up from the inside to show a 4 page size shot of the castle promo pic. If you look at that closely, you can see our heroes emerging from the tundra. It looks like the promo pic is loosely tied in as the continutaion of the story.

BTW, it's noted on the picture that 5 master sets and 70 assorted expansions are shown.

hex and truth have it down as to what's going on. There does appear to be a marro drone on the far left side of the center castle wall. There's also an elf archer dude tucked back directly below Nilfheim

Roweiser, looking at that pull out of the game sets, do you see anything new aside from the agents? Any other figs which may resemble those we saw on the shelf? There are a grip of figs on the battlefield (at least on the website pic), but because the image is so dark and pixellated, it's difficult to make anything out.

Ah, yes, well, I hadn’t made the connection between the comic and the image on the Hasbro sit for “Win the Battlefield …” Right then, it is Theracus and not Me-Burq-Sa and the castle is in the hands of Jandar. And the shock is indeed the huge Utgar army between them and the castle.
