Yes, transfer to the gcube, then to the gba, then to ds. Very hard though

Ok I have another question. Do you have to be at a certain point in gold or silver to be able to trade with the link cable?

Yeah you have to get your first badge, then you have to go to the top floor of the pokemon center..hope I helped!
